Nacha members congratulated Chhattisgarhiya brothers and sisters on Hareli Tihar
Raipur 28 July 2022-                                                                                                                                                                                          The enthusiasm and enthusiasm of Hareli, the folk festival of Chhattisgarh, has now started gaining color in America as well. North America Chhattisgarh Association (NACHA) celebrated Hareli Tihar in America on Thursday. The members of Nacha remembered their glorious agricultural culture from across the seven seas and congratulated the Chhattisgarhiya brothers/sisters on Hareli Tihar.
Ganesh Kar, Founder and Executive Chairman of NACHA said that today we are all colored in the colors of Hareli festival, so that the coming generations can also understand the importance of the festival of nature. We have also greeted nature by offering worship by making jaggery cheela. We are proud of Chhattisgarh’s rich art/culture, Teej festivals and traditions.
Shri Kar said that Hareli, the first folk festival of Chhattisgarh brings happiness and prosperity in everyone’s heart. When farmers offer prayers, wishing for a good harvest, the goddess of greenery is pleased and fills the fields with green sheets of prosperity. When the farmer is happy and prosperous, then the life of the common people also brings prosperity and prosperity. Festivals really make us understand the deeper meanings of life and nature simply.
Congratulating Hareli Tihar, member of dance from New York, USA, Vibhashree Sahu said that in the month of Sawan, when there is greenery around the fields, then the enthusiasm of the people increases even more. This zeal and enthusiasm is celebrated as ‘Hareli Tihar’ (Green Festival) in Chhattisgarh. Special dishes are prepared for the cattle on this day. Various traditional dishes are also prepared for the members of the household. Jaggery cheela is made in homes. Jaggery cheela is very tasty. This rice is made from flour and jaggery. Jaggery Cheela of Chhattisgarh, Malpua of Rajasthan or Pancake from America all have exactly the same taste. He said that while elders are excited to welcome greenery by worshiping in Hareli, children also participate in this festival by playing various games. Gedi is specially made from bamboo on this day. In which children walk. It is very interesting that the day the Gedi is made, children learn to use it without any special training. Balancing a cart is similar to a ‘hover board’ (self balancing electronic scooter).
