April 28, 2022/Raipur. The state government under the guidance of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel is working continuously and efficiently towards improving the industrial scenario of Chhattisgarh. So far, the government has signed 167 MoUs. Through these, an investment of Rs 78 thousand crore is proposed in the state, out of which the process of setting up 90 units has also begun.
The Chief Minister said that in the earlier years when industrial areas were formed, there was lack of basic facilities and infrastructures, and a lot of effort had to be made in this sector. With the establishment of the infrastructure of Rail Park,all kinds of facilities are available in the park, and more units will be installed here soon. In his address, the Chief Minister said that an investment of Rs 19,550 crore has been made in the state through various industries, through which 33 thousand people have got employment.
Mr. Baghel said that Chhattisgarh state is an agricultural-centric state and keeping in view its potential, we laid special emphasis on food processing units. In the food and processing sector, an investment of Rs 1167 crore has been made through 478 units, providing employment to 6000 people. The Chief Minister said that industrial activities would expand even more rapidly after the establishment of Rail Industrial Park. It is the priority of the state government to provide all possible facilities in the field of industrial infrastructure and industrial policies to further expand the enterprises in the state and continuous work is being done to improve such facilities.
The Principal Secretary, Industries Department, Mr. Manoj Pingua gave detailed information about the industrial scenario about the rail park of the state. He informed that there are 22 plots in the rail park. The preparation of infrastructure has been completed in this park. He informed that continuous work is being done by the Industries Department towards the establishment of food parks in the state. This will enable rapid economic development of our agricultural dominated state.
On this occasion, Principal Advisor to Chief Minister Shri Pradeep Sharma, Mayor of Bhilai Charoda Shri Nirmal Kosare, Chairman Shri Krishna Chandrakar and other dignitaries were present. Divisional Commissioner Shri Mahadev Kavre, IG Shri Badri Narayan Meena, Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure, CSIDC MD Shri Arun Prasad and other officers were present.
It is noteworthy that the arrangement of CC road, pipeline, overhead tank, street light etc has been ensured in the rail park at a cost of Rs. 8 crore 40 lakh.Moreover, Units manufacturing plants for railway equipment will greatly benefit from this improved infrastructure. Entrepreneurs will have an ease of access towards preceding their activities with the help of the availability of this infrastructure at one place. Also, it will be very convenient for railways to build a rail park. Along with this, four and a half kilometer CC road was also inaugurated in the light and heavy industrial areas today.
