There is a need to connect educated youth with industries and business activities
Both the institutes will provide guidance to the youth for setting up new industries, expanding existing industries and exporting abroad.

In the presence of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and Industry Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Dewangan, MoU was signed today for setting up of Export Facilitation Centre of Indian Institute of Foreign Trade Kolkata (IIFT) and Training Centre of Indian Entrepreneurship Development Institute Ahmedabad in Chhattisgarh.
Establishment of the Facilitation Centre of Indian Institute of Foreign Trade in Chhattisgarh will provide guidance to businessmen exporting from Chhattisgarh. Export activities will increase from the state. Exporting entrepreneurs will get guidance regarding the goods to be exported, certification of products, market information and at what price to export. Along with this, the youth of the state will be given training in entrepreneurship development from the training centre to be set up in Chhattisgarh by Indian Entrepreneurship Development Institute Ahmedabad. Establishment of these two national level centres in the state will encourage business and commercial activities in the state.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said on this occasion that Chhattisgarh is a rich state in terms of mineral resources and forest wealth. The land here is fertile. The intention of the state government is that more and more industries should be established in Chhattisgarh, commerce and trade should grow so that more and more of our educated sons and daughters can get employment. There is a need to connect educated youth with industries. Our youth will move towards entrepreneurship.
The Chief Minister said that the establishment of Export Facilitation Center in Export Chhattisgarh will increase the export of Chhattisgarh’s products abroad and the establishment of Entrepreneurship Training Center will encourage our youth to establish industries and expand the existing industries and will enable them to do so.
The Chief Minister said that our illustrious Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has resolved to make India a developed country by the year 2047. In Chhattisgarh too, we are preparing a vision document for the creation of a developed Chhattisgarh. Every possible effort is being made by the state government to increase industry and trade in our state. He said that the visit of the national institutions with which MoU has been signed today will prove to be a milestone for the development of Chhattisgarh.
Industry Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Devangan said that new industries and business activities should flourish in Chhattisgarh, this will provide employment opportunities to more and more youth. The youth will get information on how to expand their industry, how to do business abroad. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, active efforts are being made to establish more and more industries in the state. The state government intends to make Chhattisgarh’s unique identity in the field of industries. He said that Chief Minister Shri Sai has taken rapid decisions for the development of Chhattisgarh. Modi ji’s guarantees have been fulfilled in a very short time.
The MoU for setting up the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IITF) Facilitation Centre in Chhattisgarh was signed by the State Government’s Secretary of Commerce and Industry Department, Shri Ankit Anand and IIFT Kolkata Head Dr. K. Rangarajan and for setting up the Training Centre of Indian Institute of Foreign Trade Ahmedabad (EDII), the MoU was signed by EDII Director General Dr. Sunil Shukla. The
State Government will provide space in Udyog Bhawan, Raipur and an amount of about Rs 75 lakh over a period of three years to the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade to operate the Facilitation Centre. Similarly, the State Government will provide space and an amount of about Rs 3.25 crore for setting up the Training Centre of Indian Institute of Foreign Trade Ahmedabad (EDII).
Secretary of Industry and Commerce Department, Shri Ankit Anand gave detailed information about the Export Facilitation Centre and Entrepreneurship Training Centre. He said that there was no proper institute in the state for export and entrepreneurship development. This deficiency will be overcome by their establishment. The operation of the training centre will cost about two to two and a half crore rupees annually. Similarly, around 25 to 30 lakh rupees will be spent every year in the operation of the export facilitation centre. The establishment of these two centres will have a huge impact in the field of export promotion and entrepreneurship development in Chhattisgarh.
EDII Director General Dr. Sunil Shukla said that through the training centre, local institutions of Chhattisgarh will be guided to create business models, create a network of mentors, set up new ventures, and expand existing industries. Our effort is to reach 3500 youth of the state. He said that the state government has taken a quick decision to establish this centre. IITF Kolkata Head Dr. K. Rangarajan said that our effort will be to double the exports from Chhattisgarh. He said that traders of Chhattisgarh will be able to export goods and products directly from Chhattisgarh itself. Entrepreneurs will be provided training in digital and personal mode. This facility will also be available in Hindi medium. Mobile apps will also be used. General Managers and entrepreneurs of District Industry and Trade Centres will be trained. They will also be given information about good markets for export and the rates of exported goods.
