Raipur: Entries invited for State Award 2022 to be given by Public Relations Department

The Public Relations Department, Government of Chhattisgarh, has invited entries for the State Alankaran Award to be given in the memory of the eminent journalist Late Shri Chandulal Chandrakar and Late Madhukar Kher by 23 September 2022. The Chandulal Chandrakar Smriti Journalism Award and Madhukar Kher Memorial Journalism Award have been instituted to encourage and honor journalists for their creative writing with respect to the state’s culture, prosperity and development. These awards will be given to two journalists respectively. Of these, two will be from print media and two from electronic media. Entry for award till 23 September 2022 Director, Directorate of Public Relations, Ground Floor, Indravati Bhawan, Nava Raipur Atal Nagar, can be sent by registered post in the prescribed format in sealed cover to District-Raipur (Chhattisgarh) 492002 address. Chandulal Chandrakar Memorial Journalism Award 2022 or Madhukar Kher Memorial Journalism Award 2022 should be clearly written on the sealed envelope related to the entry. Entries received after the prescribed time limit will not be considered. Rules and application format related to these awards Website of Public Relations Department can be downloaded from www.dprcg.gov.in . Chandulal Chandrakar Memorial Journalism Award:- Under this award, two selected journalists will be given an honorarium of Rs.50 thousand- Rs.50 thousand (Rupees fifty-fifty thousand). Out of these, one award will be for print media and the other award will be for electronic media. The awards will be for outstanding national or regional level reporting or articles published in print media in Hindi or Chhattisgarhi and national or state level Hindi or Chhattisgarhi programs, which are related to the state of Chhattisgarh, broadcast through electronic media.

Madhukar Kher Memorial Journalism Award:- Under this award, two selected journalists will be given an honorarium of Rs 50 thousand 50 thousand (Rupees fifty-fifty thousand). Out of these, one award will be for print media and the other award will be for electronic media. The awards will be for national or state level excellent reporting or articles published in print media in English language and national or state level English programs which are related to the state of Chhattisgarh, broadcast through electronic media in English language only.
The person may enter himself for the award or may be the proposer for any suitable person in any registered newspaper-magazine or electronic media or editorial head or any recognized journalist of Chhattisgarh or India. Entries must pertain to creative writing or reporting done between August 31 and August 1 of the year preceding September of the award year. The entry for consideration of the award must be attached to the application in six copies in the form of attested clippings of any one published or broadcast material or in the form of CD or DVD. The applicant or proposer will have to produce a certificate that the facts stated for the award are genuine.
