Panchayat and Rural Development Minister gave information about Narva, Garwa, Ghurwa, Bari scheme on radio
Raipur. 18 October 2020. Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Shri T.S. Singhdev gave information on the ambitious Narva, Garwa, Ghurwa and Bari schemes of the state government on radio today. He explained the various aspects of the scheme in a special program ‘Hamar Gram Sabha’ broadcast from Akashvani Raipur at 7:30 pm today. Mr. Singhdev said that this scheme will strengthen the village and agricultural resources and the villages will get financial strength. He also answered the questions asked by the audience at the event.
Mr. Singhdev told in the ‘Hamar Gram Sabha’ that in the villages of Chhattisgarh, Gauthans are being developed as day-care shelters, adding new facilities and economic benefit aspect to the traditional Gothan and Charbari system. Gouthans are also being linked to various types of employment through self-help groups. The women belonging to self-employed groups are found to have business related to agriculture like vermicompost, goat husbandry, poultry, fisheries, vegetable farming as well as products used in everyday life such as soap, incense sticks, donna-leaf, flowerpot, lamp Space is also being given for production of. He hoped that self-help groups would play an important role in the management of Gothans.
The Minister of Panchayat and Rural Development said in the program that Narva, Garwa, Ghurwa, Bari scheme is very close to the idea of Swaraj and Swavalambi village of Mahatma Gandhi. It promotes organic and sustainable farming. Conservation and management of water, good care of livestock, fertility of agricultural land, improved nutrition levels, the scheme is playing an important role in increasing the income of the villagers. With the addition of the Godhan Nyaya Yojana, farmers and livestock farmers are getting regular good income. Shri Singhdev also underlined the roles of Panchayat and Rural Development, Water Resources, CREDA, Forest, Agriculture, Livestock Development and Horticulture departments in the implementation of Narva, Garwa, Ghurwa and Bari schemes during the program.
