Raipur. 9 June 2021. Public Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education Minister T.S. Singhdeo reviewed the works of Health Services, Medical Education and AYUSH Departments with senior departmental officers today. In the meeting held at Mantralaya (Mahanadi Bhawan), he emphasized on increasing human resources along with strong infrastructure for strengthening health services. Singhdeo directed to get the set-up of adequate number of faculty and other staff approved in the new medical colleges being started at Kanker, Mahasamund and Korba. He said that this would help in the smooth functioning of these colleges as well as in getting the accreditation of the National Medical Commission. Principal Secretary, Health Department, Dr. Alok Shukla and Secretary Mrs. Shehla Nigar were also present in the review meeting.
Health Minister Singhdeo directed to expedite the process of promotion of eligible officers and employees in all the institutions under the three departments Health Services, Medical Education and AYUSH Department. He asked to give priority to appointment of regular officers-employees in place of contractual or contractual staff in these departments. Singhdev has asked the doctors to remain present in their places of posting and render services. He directed to make available the information of doctors posted in all district hospitals, community health centers and primary health centers of the state. The Health Minister also inquired about the implementation of Nursing Home Act and PCPNDT Act. He studied the Nursing Home Act of other states and asked them to rectify its shortcomings and shortcomings in the state.
Director, Health Services, Mr. Neeraj Bansod informed in the review meeting that the work of construction of new buildings for 113 sub-health centers, 60 primary health centers and 13 community health centers is in progress in the state. These are being manufactured by Chhattisgarh Medical Services Corporation (CGMSC). He informed that Ayushman cards of one crore 32 lakh 95 thousand 235 members of 58 lakh 27 thousand 384 families have been made in the state. Health Department Commissioner Dr. CR. Prasanna, Director of Medical Education Department Dr. RK. Singh, Director of AYUSH Department Dr. GS. Badesha, Director of National Health Mission Dr. Priyanka Shukla, Director Epidemic Dr. Subhash Mishra and Managing Director of CGMSC Mr. Kartikeya Goyal were also present in the meeting.
