In the basic development of any area, water, electricity, health, arrangement of education and accessibility of transport are considered to be the main parameters, in these also electrification becomes important in the sense that the rest of the development parameters remain on this. The agony of being a resident of a village without electricity can only be understood by the people living there. In the present era, even the imagination of us living without electricity seems unimaginable. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel entrusted the responsibility of electrification in such remote villages without electricity to the officials and as a result, the remote village of Parcheli in Dantewada district has now become illuminated.
The irony of the villagers of remote village Parcheli under Katekalyan block of Dantewada district was that they were forced to live in darkness for years, some of the main reasons for this were the remote geographical location of this village and it was considered as a security sensitive area. It was also identified in 2015 and also due to many other reasons, this village remained deprived of electrification till now, but it is said that the circumstances do not always remain the same, even the clouds of troubles eventually get dispelled. Today the condition of Parcheli village has changed and it is shining with light and the houses of 4000 families living in this village have also been illuminated, and all the 12 Para Tola Majra of Parcheli, (Patelpara, Koropalpara, Tehsilpara, Jangalpara, Silpatpara, Kukurpara, Fulampara, Kuarampara, Kotwarpara, Borpadarpara, Bandipara, Bothapara) has been electrified thus there is happiness on the faces of the villagers due to electricity reaching all Paras. In relation to the problems caused by lack of electricity in the past, the villagers say that they had to shut themselves in their homes after completing all their work till the evening, and had to resort to lanterns and lamps to move anywhere in the night. After this, some of the problems were relieved by the arrangement of solar energy lighting under the alternative arrangement by CREDA. But now the whole area has got relief due to 100 percent electrification of the village. It may be noted that 100 percent electrification of the villages of the district has been done by the District Electricity Distribution Company Maryadit under the guidance of Collector Mr. Vineet Nandanwar. However, for the villagers of Parcheli village who are living in the era of lanterns and lamps, the electrification of the village has brought the light of development. The villagers say that they had to shut themselves up in their homes after completing all their work till evening and were forced to go anywhere in the night with the help of lanterns and lamps.
