High level meeting of Congress is going on in Raipur. This meeting has been specially organized on Tuesday at the Chief Minister’s residence. Senior leaders are discussing the election strategy of the Congress and appointments in the corporation boards.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, State Congress in-charge Kumari Selja, Assembly Speaker Dr. Charandas Mahant, Ministers Ravindra Choubey, Tamradhwaj Sahu, Mohammad Akbar are present in this meeting. Congress State President Deepak Baij has also arrived to attend the meeting. According to Congress sources, after a meeting at Congress Bhawan a day earlier, state in-charge Kumari Selja had clearly said that new people will be given a chance for appointments in the corporation board, there is no intention to extend the tenure of those who have already held the posts.
Resume arrived
Congress leaders have started claiming tickets in different assembly constituencies. In the last 24 hours, the state Congress office at Rajiv Bhawan in Raipur has reached dozens of biodata leaders. The leaders themselves have given their resumes after meeting the office bearers. The Congress has started preparing internally that in which assembly, to whom the ticket will be given. Veteran leaders are also consulting on the performance of the current MLAs.
