Inauguration of Shishal craft training program in Bastar

Chairman of Chhattisgarh Handicrafts Development Board Mr. Chandan Kashyap inaugurated the Shishal Shilpa training program at village Karandola Bhanpuri in Bastar district on Saturday, July 01. In this training program lasting up to 40 years, 40 beneficiaries will be trained to make different types of artistic materials. Congratulating the beneficiaries on this occasion, Mr. Kashyap said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel and under the able guidance of Village Industries Minister Guru Rudrakumar, every possible effort is being made to enhance the skills of artisans. People are being linked with employment by giving craft training, so that people can become capable of better living.
General Manager of Chhattisgarh Handicrafts Development Board Mr. S. Ale. Dhurve said that efforts will be made to connect the beneficiaries with direct employment by training them in shell craft in the training program which will last for 3 months. He informed that under the schemes approved by the state government, 20 beneficiaries of village Karandola Bhanpuri and village Sonarpal will be given training in shell craft by the Chhattisgarh Handicrafts Development Board. During the training programme, each beneficiary will be given a scholarship of Rs 1500 per month. The raw material will be provided free of cost to each beneficiary by the Chhattisgarh Handicrafts Development Board.
On this occasion, Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Karandola Bhanpuri Mr. Santosh Baghel, Sarpanch Gram Panchayat Taragaon Mr. Somaru Ram Baghel and Sarpanch Gram Panchayat Sonarpal Mrs. Shyamkumari Dhruv, Mr. Neelmani Maravi and other officers and employees of the board were present.
