Governor Shri Vishwabhushan Harichandan, during his three-day stay in Odisha, attended the birth centenary celebrations of Late Pradip Kishore Das, former Odisha minister and socialist leader. The ceremony was held at Geetgobind Sadan in Bhubaneswar.
On the occasion, while paying tributes to Shri Pradeep Kishore Das, the Governor recalled the contribution made by him to the society with his leadership ability and commitment and described the late Das as an honest leader.
The chief guest of the ceremony, Governor Mr. Harichandan said in his address that it is the duty of every citizen to protect democracy. Every citizen should contribute to build a healthy and beautiful country free from corruption. Only capable people should be given the responsibility to rule the state and the country. For this every citizen needs to be aware. Clean and corruption free governance is the right of the people. He urged everyone to participate in the fight against corruption.
