General/public holiday declared
Election/vote counting in three-tier Panchayats will be organized on June 27
Raipur, 16 June 2023. In accordance with the program issued by the Chhattisgarh State Election Commission, polls for the District Panchayat, Janpad Panchayat member, Sarpanch, and Panch will be organized on June 27 for 198 seats in the three-tier Panchayats. Considering this, the State Government has declared a dry period/day from 48 hours before the poll till the end of vote counting on June 27 in the respective constituencies for the three-tier Panchayat general/by-elections of 2023. It is noteworthy that the vote counting for three-tier Panchayats will be conducted in polling stations on the day of the polls itself. In view of this, there will be a dry day in the concerned constituency till the end of the counting of the votes.
The State Government has also announced a general/public holiday for the respective constituencies on June 27 for the general/by-elections of three-tier Panchayats.
