Raipur, 2 March 2021. With the completion of the Rs 33 crore Maa Bamleshwari Devi Temple Dongargarh Development Project, Dongargarh of Chhattisgarh will emerge as an important religious place on the tourism map of the country. This will open new doors of possibilities for tourism development, while local people will get good employment opportunities. The Chief Minister was addressing the Bhumipujan ceremony of the Maa Bamleshwari Devi Temple Dongargarh Development Project held at Dongargarh from his office hall in the Assembly premises here today. The program was presided over by the Union Minister of State for Tourism and Culture,  Prahlada Singh Patel. Mr. Patel also attended the event through virtual medium. Chhattisgarh Tourism Minister i Tamradhwaj Sahu performed Bhoomipujan at the program organized in Dongargarh. Culture Minister  Amarjit Bhagat was also present in Raipur.

 

Addressing the program, the Chief Minister said that tourists coming to Dongargarh will get world-class facilities here due to the completion of this project of Prasad Yojana. This will give a boost to tourism in the region. The Chief Minister said that the hill and Pragya Giri hill of Maa Bamleshwari Devi temple have been included in this scheme. A Jain shrine is also being built here at Chandragiri. That too should be added to this project, due to this, Dongargarh Jain, Will emerge as the center of Buddhism and Sanatana Dharma. The Chief Minister said that thousands of people come to Dongargarh during Chaitra and Shardiya Navaratri. Around 50 lakh devotees gather here throughout the year. Due to the development of public facilities here, tourists will get a lot of convenience. He said that there is a lot of potential for the development of tourism in Chhattisgarh. The Chief Minister also urged the Union Minister of State for Tourism,  Patel that under the Prasad Yojana, Kabir Chabutra of Chhattisgarh in the approved development project of Amarkantak, bordering Chhattisgarh, Rajmergarh and Shiva temples of that region should also be included. The highest number of tourists from Chhattisgarh go to Amarkantak. Like Narmada Parikrama, people also do Amarkantak Parikrama. Half the area of ​​Amarkantak Parikrama falls in Chhattisgarh. He said that in the year 2016, an amount of Rs 80 crore was sanctioned by the Ministry of Tourism for different tourism projects. This time an amount of Rs 43 crore has been sanctioned for Dongargarh under the Prasad Yojana.

Presiding over the program, Union Minister of State for Tourism  Prahlada Patel said that the Chandragiri shrine should also be included in the Dongargarh project. Its benefits will be found in tourism in the region. He said that the projects approved by the Union Ministry of Tourism will be completed on time. So that funds can be allocated for other tourism related projects. He informed that under the Prasad project, work is being done to develop world class public facilities in all such places which are important from tourism point of view. Where a large number of tourists come. He informed that under the Swadesh Yojana of the Government of India, the goal was to promote connectivity between tourist destinations. He said that the government as well as the society should contribute towards the development of facilities in the tourist places.

Tourism Minister of Chhattisgarh Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, the work of developing tourist places in Chhattisgarh is being done at a rapid pace. Tourism development work will be done on about nine and a half acres of land in Dongargarh. He thanked the Union Minister for including Dongargarh in the Prasad Yojana. He informed that a tourism policy has been formulated to promote tourism in Chhattisgarh. During their stay in the districts, the Chief Minister makes night stay at the motels and resorts of tourist places, So that people can get information about the facilities available at the tourist destination. Member of Parliament  Santosh Pandey said that under the Prasad Yojana, works of infrastructure expansion are being done in pilgrimage sites. Dongargarh is famous for Chandragiri and Pragnagiri shrines including Maa Bamleshwari temple. The Prasad Yojana will create new possibilities of development in this area. Secretary of Tourism Department Mr. Anbalagan P. gave the welcome address. Managing Director of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board Smt. Ranu Sahu thanked.

The project approved under the ‘Prasad’ scheme of the Ministry of Tourism, Govt. Of India (Chhaphatpuham tmrn amdnjpvad. Dkchtpijnns bhmtpjhnm. Nhumdjnjpvdppm). Will be done. Along with this, Pilgrim Facilitation Center will be constructed on nine and a half acres of land. This building, to be built in the shape of Sriyantra, will be a special attraction of the entire project. In addition to this construction, renovation of the stairs on the hill of Maa Bambleshwari Devi temple, railing, shed, drinking water facility, pagoda, solar lighting, parking, CCTV, beautification of the pond, built bio toilet, medical room and signage Will go. Meditation center, cafeteria, renovation of stairs, drinking water, solar lighting on Pragyagiri hill, Signage facilities will be developed. The development of facilities will boost tourism in the region and provide employment to local people.
