You can serve the country in whatever form you want to serve. You can serve the country by becoming a good doctor and serving patients, you can help people by solving people’s problems by becoming a public representative. Doing your work in a better way and with complete honesty is the true service to the country in today’s time. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said this in response to the questions of the children who came from Krishna Public School Tulsi, Raipur to visit the assembly premises. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma was present during this.
The children asked Chief Minister Shri Sai questions related to questions and answers of opposition MLAs in the House, solving problems of assembly constituencies and inter-departmental coordination. While discussing the proceedings of the assembly, the Chief Minister said that first there is question hour and after that if the members want to draw attention to any important point, then they bring attention proposal. Similarly, he gave detailed information about zero hour, starred, unstarred questions, other proposals, discussions on the budget and other discussions in the assembly and the functioning and activities of the assembly.
He further said that MLAs have MLA fund to solve the problems of the area. Apart from this, works are also approved from the departmental budget. Voters elect MLAs and send them and the development of the area is their responsibility, so they keep asking questions. Removing the curiosity of the children about the dispute between the two departments, the Chief Minister said that if the policy and intention is clear then such a situation does not arise. Children got a lot of information from the long parliamentary experience of Chief Minister Shri Sai and they listened to the Chief Minister with curiosity.
Chief Minister Shri Sai, while giving a message to the children, said that if all of you keep working hard with devotion, you will definitely get success. Leaving aside personal interest, we will have to always work dedicatedly for the country’s interest. In whatever form you want to serve the country, decide it and keep making efforts in this direction. The Chief Minister told that when I was 10 years old, my respected father had passed away and I had never thought that I would be able to reach the post of Chief Minister. My wish was to become an advanced farmer. But whatever responsibilities I got in this journey, I kept fulfilling them with full devotion.
During this, Chief Minister Shri Sai gave information about the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign started by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He told the children that all of you should join this campaign and plant trees. By planting trees in the name of mother, we will have an emotional attachment with it and the responsibility of taking care of it will also be ours.
