Raipur: Disabled person gets beaten by self-employment: Divyang Santosh becomes self-reliant with Chief Minister Youth Self-Employment Scheme

Raipur, 03 July 2020. Physical disability can also be defeated by freshness and self-reliance. The same encouragement of Divyang Santosh, resident of Ganganagar ward of Jagdalpur got the support of Chief Minister Youth Self-Employment and now he has failed the disability in front of his courage. Divyang Santosh Kumar Sharma with both feet dared and made the grocery store in his ward a source of income. The Government of Chhattisgarh assisted him in furthering his business by giving him training and a loan of one lakh under the Chief Minister Youth Self-Employment Scheme. With this, the life of Divyang Santosh has become self-sufficient. He has also been able to take care of his family with himself.
Mr. Santosh was unable to walk with both legs after one year from birth. His father, Mr. Ramjulan, used to take care of the family as a whole. His family’s financial condition was not good. Seeing the cash crunch, Mr. Santosh started a grocery shop with a deposit of Rs. 06 thousand after receiving education up to 12th standard. Due to low budget, the business was running low. Meanwhile, Santosh Sharma got information about the Chief Minister Youth Self-Employment Scheme operated from the District Trade and Industry Center, he contacted the Industry Center. Industry officials gave him guidance and on his request prepared a loan case for grocery business and sent it to the bank. A loan of one lakh was sanctioned from the bank.
One week entrepreneurship training was also given to Mr. Santosh by the District Trade and Industry Center, which gave him new information about running the business. After training, according to the plan, the Department of Industries approved a grant of 15 thousand margin money. He was given a loan of Rs. 01 lakh by the bank in February 2020. At a cost of one lakh rupees, he started grocery and daily needs at Geedam Road in the city. Now they are earning enough from the business. With this, they are also taking care of their family by regularly depositing a loan of 26 hundred rupees to the bank. Describing the self-employment scheme as beneficial for the youth, Mr. Santosh says that ‘do not find work, you become work giver’.
