Raipur: Disabled people got free bus passes from Chief Minister Shri Sai

To make the life of handicapped people easy and happy, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai distributed free bus passes to 07 handicapped persons in village Bagiya of Jashpur and honored them by presenting shawl and coconut.

     In the program, the Chief Minister distributed free bus passes to senior citizens including Divyang Lakshmi Bai, Vikas Nayak, Tijanu Ram, Dev Kumar Chauhan, Sandhya Sidar, Sonam Sidar, Sushila Tigga, Sushila Bai Nayak, Pooja Narang. For the first time, 18-year-old Sonam Sidar suffering from sickle cell and 8-year-old boy Dev Kumar Chauhan were also provided bus passes.
    It is worth mentioning that the Chhattisgarh Government Social Welfare Department has made provision for ‘Divyangjan Free Bus Travel Pass’ under the Disabled Rights Act 2016. In which, free bus travel passes and concession certificates for rail travel are made for the disabled in coordination with the Transport Department.
Difficulties of the disabled have been resolved
    . Charaidand resident Sonam Sidar suffering from sickle cell disease said that he had to go to Jashpur or other big cities repeatedly for treatment. By getting a free bus pass, the problem of travel expenses will end and he will also be able to study regularly. Bone-disabled Divyang Vikas Nayak said that earlier he used to face difficulty in travelling anywhere. In such a situation, by getting a free bus pass, he will be able to travel not only within the state but also to other states. He expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Sai for the free bus pass.
