Director General of Police Mr. Ashok Juneja arrived today among the jawans posted at Jagargunda camp in Naxal-affected Sukma district of Bastar region. While encouraging the jawans, he praised their courage and bravery and inquired about their problems. The DGP said that the operation of the security forces against the Naxalites will continue. Along with this, ADG CAPF Mr. Vitul Kumar, ADG Naxal Operations Mr. Vivekanand Singha, IGP Bastar Range Mr. Sundarraj P., IGP CRPF Mr. Saket Singh, DIG Rajendra Narayan Das Police Headquarters, DIG CRPF Suneet Kumar Rai, DIG Dantewada Range Mr. Kamlochan Kashyap, SP Sukma Mr. Sunil Kumar along with other police officers reached Jagargunda and met the officers and jawans involved in the encounter and inquired about the entire sequence of events. 
Praised the entire team for the bravery of the police party in giving a befitting reply to all the jawans during the encounter with the Naxalites and on knowing that some Naxalites were likely to be killed and injured during the encounter. DGP Mr. Ashok Juneja, who was martyred while fighting bravely in the Police Naxal encounter. Expressing his condolences to the family members of Ramuram Nag, Constable Kunjam Joga and Constable Vanjam Bhima, he bowed down to the martyrdom of the brave soldiers. He assured to provide compassionate appointments and other facilities to their families soon.
He has directed the police and security forces to speed up the pace of development by setting up sur camps at remote places like Dabbamarka, Tondamarka, Kunded and Bedre in the highly sensitive Naxal-affected areas of Sukma district. At the same time, he praised all the officers and jawans who worked diligently to take the benefits of the government’s schemes to the people at these places. Along with this, the local police officers were directed to work together in a better planned manner in the coming times.
It is worth mentioning that on February 25, a police team had left on a motorcycle from Jagargunda camp to provide security to the road construction work in Jagargunda area of ​​Sukma district, where the Naxalites, who had already ambushed, opened fire on the police team, in which 3 policemen were killed. Martyred, Naxalites are also reported to have been killed in retaliatory action and firing by the police team. DGP Shri Juneja also visited the spot of the incident and interacted with the local villagers.
