Raipur : Development priorities for capital Raipur and new district GPM are same : Bhupesh Baghel : Inauguration of works worth Rs.681 crore in Raipur and Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi districts – Bhoomi Pujan

Raipur, 13 June 2021. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has said that along with bringing a change in the lives of the people of Chhattisgarh, constant efforts are being made to develop strong infrastructure and increase civic amenities in the districts. He said that the state government’s priorities are the same for the development of both the capital Raipur or the new district Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi. There will be no shortage of resources for the development of the new district. The Chief Minister said that development of all the districts including the capital Raipur is being done according to its dignity. Continuous work is being done to strengthen the road network from the urban areas of Raipur district to the villages around them.

 

Chief Minister Mr. Baghel was addressing the virtual program of inauguration-bhoomipujan of 752 development works costing more than Rs.681 crore in Raipur and Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi districts at his residence office here today. In Raipur district, out of 391 development works worth Rs 561 crore 32 lakh, 28 works worth Rs 100 crore 32 lakh were inaugurated and 363 works worth Rs 461 crore were performed. Similarly, in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district, out of 361 works costing Rs.120 crore 8 lakh, Bhoomi Pujan of 300 development works costing Rs.67 crore 26 lakh and 61 works worth Rs.52 crore 81 lakh are included.
In the virtual program, Chief Minister Shri Baghel also unveiled the statue of social worker Shrimal and Journalism leader Govindlal Vora at Children’s Ashram in Raipur. He said that the contribution made by the social worker Nemichand  Shrimal and the pioneer of journalism Shri Govindlal Vora in the field of social service can never be forgotten. From Dau Kalyan Singh to Nagar Mata Binny Bai, there has been a tradition of sacrifice, charity and charity in Chhattisgarh. Shri Nemichand Shri Shrimal ji and Govind Lal Vora ji carried forward the same tradition. His statues will always inspire people for charity. In the program, the Chief Minister discussed with the beneficiaries of various schemes in both the districts.

 

In the program, the Chief Minister performed bhoomi pujan of many works, including a scheme for providing water supply round the clock, to be constructed with an amount of Rs 74 crore 38 lakh in Raipur Smart Yojna area. He said that Gorela-Pendra-Marwahi may be lagging behind in terms of roads, culverts, buildings, but Rajiv Gandhi is not lagging behind in taking benefits of Kisan Nyay Yojana, Godhan Nyay Yojana and Suraji Gaon Yojana. Under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district, free seeds will be distributed to 723 farmers of Baiga and Scheduled Tribes for cultivation of Kodo in 300 hectares.
The Chief Minister said that the battle against Corona was fought with great success in Chhattisgarh as well as in Gaurela-Pendra Marwahi district. In the Gaurela-Pendra Marwahi district, forest dwellers have been given forest resource rights on more than 38,650 hectares of land through individual forest rights leases of 603 hectares of land to 1676 people and 51 community forest resource rights letters in the last two years. Chief Minister Suposhan Abhiyan has also got good success in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi. In the year 2019-20, the percentage of malnutrition among the children of this district was 23.12, which has come down to 20.46 percent in 2020-21.
Speaker of the Vidhan Sabha, Dr. Charandas Mahant while addressing the program said that the state government has instilled confidence in the underprivileged, poor, tribals, farmers, women through public welfare schemes and programs. Awareness has come among the people of Chhattisgarh. Now they have started speaking out loud. This is the real identity of Chhattisgarhia. Agriculture and Water Resources Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey said that providing compassionate appointment to the dependents of the deceased government servants within a month during the Corona period is a reflection of the sensitivity of the Chief Minister. He said that schemes like Godhan Nyay Yojana and Swami Atmanand English Medium School would bring revolutionary change in Chhattisgarh.
In the program, Revenue Minister Shri Jaisingh Agrawal said that the Chief Minister has a special attachment towards the newly formed district of Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi. Despite being a new district, it is developing rapidly. Rajya Sabha MP Smt. Chhaya Verma said that the Chief Minister has done the work of awakening the soul of Chhattisgarh through the culture, language, tradition, Teej-festivals of Chhattisgarh. This has brought new confidence in Chhattisgarhis. Members of Parliament Mrs. Jyotsna Mahant and Mr. Arun Sao, Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Vikas Upadhyay, MLA Mrs. Dr. KK Dhruv, Dhanendra Sahu, Satyanarayan Sharma, Anita Yogendra Sharma, Kuldeep Juneja also addressed the program. On this occasion, Home Minister Shri Tamradhwaj Sahu, Forest and Climate Change Minister Shri Mohammad Akbar, School Education Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam, Urban Administration and Development Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahria, were present at the Chief Minister’s residence.
