Raipur, 17 February 2021. Organized two-day stakeholder consultation workshop and two-day expert workshop in Raipur from 17 February to 20 February 2021 for the preparation of Red Plus Action Plan and capacity building of Chhattisgarh State Forest and Climate Change Department under the aegis of Indian Forestry Research and Education Council Dehradun. Has been done. On the occasion of the inauguration ceremony of the workshop, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief of Forest Force Rakesh Chaturvedi said that climate change is a global problem and awareness and caution are necessary for its prevention. Giving details about the work being done by the Forest Department in Chhattisgarh, he said that the state of Chhattisgarh is moving towards becoming the second organic state of the country.

On this occasion, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forestry of Chhattisgarh Tapesh Kumar Jha emphasized the need to think globally and to diagnose problems locally to address problems like climate change. Rawat and Red Plus Expert Dr. Bhaskar Singh Karki and Mr. Naveen Bhattarai of International Integrated Development Center, Kathmandu Nepal shared the information about the preparation of Redd Plus Action Plan with the participants of the workshop.
