Raipur: Despite corona crisis, tendu leaf collection continues at a rapid pace this year.

Raipur, 14 May 2021. During the current year 2021 in Chhattisgarh, 4 lakh 76 thousand 631 standard bags of tendu leaves have been collected, which is more than a quarter of the target. During the current year, there is a target of collection of 16 lakh 71 thousand standard sacks of Tendu Leaves. On the instructions of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, special arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of economic activities during the Corona-Crisis this year, like last year.

 

Forest Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar has informed that following the guidelines and necessary precautions of Kovid-19, collection of Tendu leaves by the forest dwellers continues at a rapid pace. Out of the total quantity collected till now in the state, the collection of 40 thousand 239 standard bags in forest division Bijapur and 56 thousand 996 standard bags of tendu leaves in Sukma is included. Similarly, 10 thousand 252 standard bags in Dantewada, 14 thousand 736 standard bags in Jagdalpur, 12 thousand 453 standard bags in South Kondagaon and 17 thousand 255 standard bags in Keshkal have been collected. 11 thousand 238 standard bags in Vanmandal Narayanpur, 13 thousand 911 standard bags in East Bhanupratappur, 11 thousand 30 standard bags in West Bhanupratappur and 20 thousand 167 standard bags in Kanker have been collected.

 

Similarly, 12 thousand 677 standard bags in Rajnandgaon, 4 thousand 3 standard bags in Khairagarh, 13 thousand 565 standard bags in Balod and one thousand 373 standard bags in Kawardha have been collected. In Vanmandal Dhamtari, 13 thousand 510 standard bags, Gariaband 61 thousand 126 standard bags, Mahasamund 47 thousand 619 standard bags and Balodabazar 12 thousand 183 standard bags are collected. 5 thousand 311 standard bags in Bilaspur, 104 standard bags in Marwahi, 3 thousand 297 standard bags in Janjgir-Champa, 23 thousand 20 standard bags in Raigad, 29 thousand 100 standard bags in Dharamjigarh, 9 thousand 872 standard bags in Korba and Katghora. In 10 thousand 202 standard bags have been collected. Similarly, 7 thousand 978 standard bags in Jashpur, 5 thousand 161 standard bags in Manendragarh, 464 standard bags in Korea, 6 thousand 963 standard bags in Surguja and 813 standard bags in Surajpur.
