Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Shri Vijay Sharma today inspected the arrangements made for the Kanwariyas at Mrityunjay Ashram in Amarkantak and also sat with the Kanwariyas and had food himself. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sharma also distributed food to the Kanwariyas and participated with them in this important journey of the holy month of Sawan. The Deputy Chief Minister will reach Narmada Maiyya Temple and Jaleshwar Mahadev Temple in Amarkantak tomorrow morning and offer prayers.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma has made special arrangements to make the 150 km long Kanwar Yatra from Amarkantak to Bhoramdev Temple smooth and safe, so that the devotees do not face any kind of problem during the journey.
As per the instructions of Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sharma, doctors and health workers have been deployed at more than 15 places for the Kanwariyas. Special arrangements have also been made for security during the yatra. These include the duty of 4 police patrolling teams and sub-divisional officer police. Detailed instructions have been given to the Superintendents of Police in this regard, so that the safety of the Kanwariyas can be ensured.
Special arrangements have been made for the Kanwariyas to stay at more than 20 places. Free food and night stay arrangements have been made at Mrityunjay Ashram in Amarkantak, which includes dal-bhaat, vegetables, sweets like kheer, puri and halwa. Bolbam Coordination Committee and local officials are actively engaged in monitoring these arrangements.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma said that the convenience and safety of the Kanwariyas is of paramount importance for us. On this holy occasion of the month of Sawan, we have ensured all the necessary arrangements so that all the devotees can complete their journey without any difficulty.
