Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Saw today attended the Kush Jayanti celebrations organised by Maurya Kushwaha Samaj in Khursipar, Bhilai. On this occasion, he also inaugurated the beautification work of Samrat Ashok Chowk. Shri Saw announced to give five lakh rupees for the building of Kushwaha Samaj on the demand of Vaishali Nagar MLA Shri Rakesh Sen in the programme.

Addressing the Kush Jayanti function as the chief guest, Mr. Saav said that Ashok Chakra increases India’s honour. He informed that a city bus will be operated from Raipur to Durg. This will help in connecting Durg-Bhilai to the capital. To connect Durg-Bhilai directly to the capital, the three cities will be developed as State Capital Region (SCR).

Durg Lok Sabha constituency MP Shri Vijay Baghel said in the program that social love has immense power. We believe in equality. In our eyes, no one is small or big. We have always stood with every community. MLA Rakesh Sen said in his address that Kushwaha community has contributed to the development of the state. This community is continuously progressing in the field of education. Many public representatives and dignitaries including Durg-Rural MLA Shri Lalit Chandrakar and Bhilai Municipal Corporation Mayor Shri Neeraj Pal were also present in the program.
