The District Education Officer in-charge of Surajpur district and the Block Education Officer of Arang have been suspended by the state government due to negligence and irregularities in their work.
According to the order issued by the School Education Department, District Education Officer in-charge of Surajpur district, Shri Ram Lalit Patel has been suspended with immediate effect due to violation of the rules laid down for distribution of millet based food items and irregularities in the purchase of millet material. The suspended period has been fixed as the headquarters of Shri Patel, Divisional Joint Director Education Office, Surguja. Similarly, Arang Development Block Education Officer Mr. N.P. Kurre has been suspended with immediate effect for not taking action against the absent teacher of Arang development block and withdrawing the teacher’s salary. The headquarters of suspended Development Block Education Officer Shri Kurre has been appointed as Divisional Joint Director (Education), Raipur.
