Bastar and Surguja divisions of Chhattisgarh are full of natural beauty and wealth. On the special initiative of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, the state government is making special efforts to promote tourism with the aim of taking the natural beauty and historical heritage of Chhattisgarh to the world level. In this series, ‘Dekho Bastar Season 2-Bastar on Bike’ was organized on June 18 and 19 by preparing a motor bike circuit of 60 riders from Chhattisgarh and border states to promote Bastar tourism. This event was organized by Kanger Valley National Park with the help of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, District Administration Bastar and local partner organizations. MP Bastar Mr. Deepak Baij participated in the closing program. Describing the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Bastar as incomparable, he appealed to the riders to take Bastar to the world stage.
Director of Kanger Valley National Park Mr. Dhammasheel Ganveer said that the main objective of Bastar on bike is to show the natural beauty and access routes, roads, facilities of Bastar to tourists and promote tourism through riders. Riders started Dekho Bastar ride from Danteshwari Temple Jagdalpur on June 18 and reached Tirathgarh via Kurandi, Gumalwada, Koleng. After this, on June 19, he reached Chitrakot from Tirathgarh via Katekalyan via Dantewada, Barsur, Korlapal. In the closing ceremony of this event, on June 19, a workshop was also organized by Chhattisgarh Tourism Board to promote wellness tourism. In the workshop, Mr. Vijay Sharma gave detailed information about the benefits and dishes of Millets like Kodo, Kutki, Ragi etc.
