Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel attended the swearing-in ceremony and felicitation ceremony of District Sahu Sangh organized at Dussehra ground of village Birra of Bramhandih development block of Janjgir-Champa district today. He worshiped Chhattisgarh Mahtari, devotee Mata Karma and inaugurated the conference by paying homage to the ancestors of the society. While addressing the conference, Mr. Baghel has announced to make Gram Panchayat Birra and Bamhnidih as Nagar Panchayat. Along with this, he has approved opening of Naveen Swami Atmanand English Medium School, construction of new community hall, opening of junior engineer office of electricity department in Birra village panchayat. In view of the demand of the villagers, the Chief Minister also approved the construction of a road bridge from Bamhnidih to Dahida on the Hasdeo river.
Congratulating the newly elected office bearers in the programme, Mr. Baghel said that our government is working with the aim of strengthening the rural economy. For this, we have mobilized farmers, laborers, women, Several schemes have been made in public interest for all sections including landless laborers. 26 lakh farmers of the state are getting benefited from the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. In view of the bumper yield of paddy, we have decided to increase the support price of paddy from 15 quintals per acre to 20 quintals per acre this year. Our government is paying special attention to education. Schools are being painted under the School Jatan Yojana. Rs 1000 crore is being spent for this. Today, the first Swami Atmanand English Medium College of the state has been started in Kanker. A large number of Chhattisgarh’s various societies have been provided land by the state government for social buildings at an affordable rate. Along with this, assistance is also being given to various societies for the construction of social buildings. The happy result of which is that today land and buildings are available with many societies of the state. use of this building
Assembly Speaker Dr. Charandas Manhat emphasized on promoting social love, unity, harmonious behavior. Home Minister Shri Tamradhwaj Sahu while addressing said that time and opportunity should always be used. Today the office bearers have got the opportunity to serve the society. Use it to strengthen social organization. He stressed on the need to end the evils, orthodox traditions, evils spread in the society and to make the new generation cultured by establishing social harmony.
