Construction of seven Gothanas completed, construction work of remaining Gothans continues
Raipur, 21 June 2020. On June 19, on the call of the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, a campaign has been started in the entire state. ‘Roka-Chheka’ campaign is being run in rural areas of Chhattisgarh as well as in urban areas. While the Roca-Chheka campaign will protect crops and cattle, the accident caused by cattle roaming in the open in urban areas will also get relief. For this, 42 gothan have been approved in urban areas. Construction of seven of these Gauthanas has been completed and construction work of remaining Guthans is going on fast. After the construction of these plantations, a provision of Gothan Management Committee has been made for the protection of animals and control of grazing of crops in rural areas of urban areas. A grant of Rs.10,000 is also being given to the Gowthan Committee by the state government for the operation of Gothan. The number of animals under the body areas is about 26 thousand 600. Under the scheme, at least three acres of land has been earmarked for the construction of Gothan. About 23 lakh 69 rupees have also been fixed for its construction.
