Raipur, 20 January 2022. In Korba district, criminal cases will be registered against the people involved in the acquisition of land for Hardibazar-Tarda bypass. Collector Korba has written a letter to the Superintendent of Police Korba to register a criminal case against the people involved in this case. The State Government had received serious complaints regarding irregularities in land acquisition for the said bypass road and ignoring the rules in compensation cases. Taking this matter seriously, the state government had directed Collector Korba to investigate the matter and submit a report. In compliance of the instructions of the State Government to take action against the culprits if prima facie case of irregularities is found in the report of Collector Korba, action has been taken by Collector Korba to register a criminal case in this matter.
It is worth mentioning that the land of farmers was acquired for Hardibazar-Tarda bypass road under Korba district. In this case of land acquisition, complaints of irregularities in compensation case and repeated purchase and sale of the same land piece by piece were received at the state level. During the investigation of this case, it was found that the Land Revenue Code and Land Acquisition Rules have been ignored in the matter of land acquisition. Against the rules, the case of more compensation by showing acquisition of less than five thousand square feet area has been approved. Along with this, the land of many such Khasras has also been acquired, which is not the boundary of the bypass road. The same land has been bought and sold several times in pieces by people involved in the purchase and sale of land.
