Raipur, 13 October 2020. Delegation of Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association (CREDAI) today paid courtesy call on Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel today. They thanked Chief Minister for the relief and redemptions provided to real estate sector during corona crisis. On the occasion, Industry Minister Mr. Kawasi Lakhma was also present.
CREDAI office-bearers said that compared to other states, real estate sector in Chhattisgarh is doing much better. State Government provided concession of 30% on government guideline rates for land transactions in the state. Likewise, concession was also provided on stamp duty, which benefitted the real estate sector greatly. State Government also expedited the approval of housing colonies and developed ‘CGAWAS’ single window system for facilitating the same. Through this system, approval for housing colonies is provided within 100 days.
While having discussion with Chief Minister, Association officials said that if the registration fee in the state is reduced for a year, the sector will get a major boost. Requesting for concession on stamp fee, the officials told that stamp fee has been reduced in many states of the country. They also requested for permission to build houses for sale on plain lands for people of EWS category. On the occasion, Mr. Anand Singhania, Mr. PL Singh, Mr. Rajesh Chandrakar, Mr. Sandeep Kedia, Mr. Vijay Nathani and other office-bearers of CREDAI were also present.
