State Government is taking serious precautions to prevent and control COVID-19 infection. People found roaming without masks are being subjected to strict action. Collector of Surajpur district, Mr. Ranbir Sharma himself went on the streets and visited the shops to create awareness among the citizens and to appeal businessmen and shopowners to cooperate in prevention of COVID-19 infection.
From April 2 onwards, 38 people found roaming without masks in Surajpur were fined Rs 19 thousand. 11 shops including Mahalaxmi Dresses, Gayatri Dresses, Messrs, Anupam, Sushma Suhag Center, Vaibhav Sari, Jain Watch Corner, Shankar Electricals, Manoj Saree Center, Gupta Paan Center, Anjali Jewelers, Jyoti Electricals were sealed for flouting norms and not following the guidelines.
It is worth mentioning that nighttime curfew has been imposed in the district, banning unnecessary movement of people from 08.00 am to 06.00 am. According to COVID-19 guidelines, wearing a mask, maintaining a physical distance of two yards and hand sanitization is necessary.
