Raipur, 29 August 2021. The delegation led by the Speaker of Gujarat Legislative Assembly, Mr. Rajendra Trivedi, met Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel. In this meeting held at the Chief Minister’s residence office this evening, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel invited the delegation to visit Bastar next time. He said that the importance of Chhattisgarh has been there in every era. People of all classes live together here. He informed the delegation in detail about the importance of Chhattisgarh in the archaeological, historical and mythological period. On this occasion a delegation from Gujarat presented a replica of the Statue of Unity to Chief Minister Mr. Baghel. The Chief Minister also honored the delegation by presenting them a shawl and a memento.
Welcoming the team of Gujarat Vidhan Sabha to Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Shri Baghel said that there is a very old and deep bond between Chhattisgarh and Gujarat. Here in Champaranya is the birthplace of Shri Vallabhacharya, which is visited by a large number of devotees from Gujarat. The Gujarati community residing in Chhattisgarh has settled in the culture here and is making a meaningful contribution in various fields. Giving information about Chhattisgarh, the Chief Minister said that from the mythological period to the present, there has never been a period when Chhattisgarh has not contributed. Chhattisgarh is the maternal uncle of Mata Kaushalya and the maternal grandmother of Lord Shri Ram, he has spent a lot of his exile here. Arang has an association with Lord Krishna where he tested the charity of King Mordhwaj. Situated on the banks of Mahanadi, Sirpur is a symbol of Buddhist culture. Which at that time was the capital and center of trade and education. He said that the world’s oldest theater is located in Ramgarh, Chhattisgarh, where Kalidas composed the Meghdoot. Here is the Valmiki Ashram in Turturiya where Luv-Kush was born. Tibetan refugees have been settled in Mainpat, where the natural beauty is unmatched.
The Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh was also a leader in the freedom movement. Here Amar Shaheed Ball Singh was hanged in 1824 and Vir Narayan Singh in 1857. Mahatma Gandhi took the inspiration for the removal of untouchability from Chhattisgarh and called Pandit Sunderlal Sharma as his guru. Even after independence, industries like Bhilai Steel Plant here have contributed in building the country. The population of Chhattisgarh is 32 percent tribal and 44 percent of the area is forest. Even during this corona period, even when the industries were closed everywhere, 74 percent of the minor forest produce of the entire country was procured by Chhattisgarh. Tendupatta collection rate is the highest standard bag of Rs.4000 is being given in the country. Apart from this, the purchasing power of tribals has increased due to collection of 52 types of minor forest produce on support price. Concrete steps were taken in the field of education and health, which has reduced the malnutrition of children.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey said that the state of Chhattisgarh was known as Dakshin Kosal in ancient times. Here is the maternal grandmother of Lord Rama. Mata Kaushilya was born here. In Chhattisgarh, every nephew is worshiped because the image of Lord Rama is seen in every nephew. Here the Ram-Van-Gaman path of Lord Shri Ram is being developed as a tourist circuit. He said that Chhattisgarh is a rice bowl. Here the farmers are being given the highest price of paddy. Last year, 92 lakh metric tonnes worth about Rs 23 thousand crore were procured. suraji village scheme, Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana and Godhan Nyay Yojana are helping to make the rural economy dynamic. He said that 10 lakh quintals of vermi compost has been prepared in the Gauthans made under the Suraji Gaon Yojana. A large number of women groups are getting employment from this work. He said that under the Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhumiless Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana, a new scheme for laborers, an amount of Rs 6000 would be given to the landless laborers in a year. Provision has been made for this in the budget.
Speaker of Gujarat Vidhan Sabha Shri Rajendra Trivedi said that after visiting Chhattisgarh, he came to know about the new traditions of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly. He said that the idea of implementing the traditions of Chhattisgarh in Gujarat would also be considered. He said that coming on tour it came to know why India is united in spite of having so much diversity. Under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Abhiyan, the people of one state get a chance to know and understand about another state. He said that we have been greatly influenced by the historical, mythological and cultural importance of Chhattisgarh. Their knowledge about Chhattisgarh’s forest, mineral wealth and programs run by tribals has increased. He said that after coming to Chhattisgarh, he felt that not Chhattisgarh but still in Gujarat. He said that the people of Chhattisgarh directly, Simple and open hearted. The people here meet with great affinity. The cleanliness and greenery here has won everyone’s heart. The members of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly said that tourism will get a boost by getting information about the historical, mythological and cultural diversity here.
