Raipur, 18 August 2021. Chhattisgarh’s rich culture, natural beauty, delightful tourist places and historical and archaeological heritage are now attracting Bollywood too. Renowned comedian Krushna Abhishek is going to shoot for his upcoming film ‘Mr Aishwarya Rai’ in Raipur for the next 10 days from 25th of this month in Chhattisgarh. He plans to shoot a few episodes of the OMG India show in Chhattisgarh. In this connection, he had a courtesy meeting with Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel at his Raipur residence office today and informed him about his plan. Expressing happiness over this, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that all possible help would be given for film production in Chhattisgarh. A new film policy is being prepared by the state government. In which provisions will be made to encourage film production.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that there is a lot of talent in the artists of Chhattisgarh, the aim of the new film policy to be made is to advance the artists here. There are many beautiful locations for film shooting from Surguja to Bastar, which can be landed on the film screen. Many places are full of natural beauty including Jaljali and Ultapani in Mainpat, Buddhist Vihara in Sirpur, dense forest in Barnawapara, Chitrakote Falls in Bastar. He also informed that air service has started from Raipur, Jagdalpur and Bilaspur.
The Chief Minister said that the world’s oldest theater is also there in Ramgarh of Surguja, Chhattisgarh has a rich tradition of art and culture. Associated with Padmashree Habib Tanveer’s theater group and other artists here have earned a name in the country and abroad. Comedian Shri Krishna told the Chief Minister that he has shot a program with Chhattisgarh’s young singer Sahdev Didro, who became famous for the song ‘Bachpan Ka Pyaar’, which will be aired soon.
The Chief Minister talked to the famous Bollywood actor Shri Dharmendra over phone and asked him about his well being and reminded him that once he had come to Raigarh in Chhattisgarh. The Chief Minister also invited Shri Dharmendra to visit Chhattisgarh. The Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh and Punjab have a unique similarity that these are the only two states in the country which have been named on the basis of numbers. Punjab has five rivers and Chhattisgarh had 36 bastions. Actor Krishna told the chief minister that Shreyas Talpade and Kiku Sharda will co-star in the film proposed to be shot in Chhattisgarh. Shri Krishna also revealed that he will also be filming unique locations of Chhattisgarh for the shooting of episodes of the OMG India series. Expressing happiness over this, the Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh also has many unique places. He told about the water of Mainpat that the ground would spring upon jumping there. Kind of bounces. Giving information about the rare Kutumbasar cave of Bastar, Mr. Baghel said that there are many figures made of staglamite and blind fishes are found there. Shri Vicky Malhotra, Shri Ricky Malhotra, Shri Naveen Rathore, Shri Bhojraj Navani, Shri Praneeth Sundrani, Shri Rishu Hora and Shri Shiv Vishwakarma were present on the occasion.
