Raipur: Corona vaccination started in entire state from today: 5592 health care workers were vaccinated today

Raipur. 16 January 2021. The work of corona vaccination in Chhattisgarh has started in all the districts with full enthusiasm today. The department has already vaccinated 5592 health care workers against 9135 scheduled health workers. In the first phase, 2.67 lakh health care workers will be vaccinated. 97 vaccination sites were built for the launch of vaccination.

The first vaccine was given to Mrs. Tulsa Tandi, a cleaning worker working at Mekahara, first in Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Hospital, Raipur. Famous doctor Dr. A.T. Dabke, Mekahara Superintendent Dr. Vineet Jain, Padma Shri Dr. Pukhraj Bafna in Rajnandgaon, Chief Medical and Health Officer of Dr. Dhamtari were also vaccinated on the first day today. All were kept in the monitoring room for half an hour after vaccination. In the medical college, nurses Mrs. Laxmi Sahu and Ms. Salit Brumhe have vaccinated.
Chhattisgarh has been provided three lakh 23 thousand vaccines of ‘Kovishield’ made by Serum Institute of India in the first batch by the Government of India. These vaccines are certified by ICMR. Information about all these has been entered in the Kovin portal.
The AEFI (Adverse Event Failing Immunization) management system has been strengthened from the state level to the vaccination sites for the management of any adverse event or emergency after vaccination. Appropriate arrangements have also been made for the management of biomedical wastes during and after vaccination. Deep-pit and short-pit have been prepared at all cold chain points.
According to information received from the Health Department, 344 in Raipur district, 312 in Durg district, 251 in Rajnandgaon, 359 in Bilaspur, 248 in Sukma, 319 in Raigad, 226 in Balod, 378 in Sarguja, 110 in Janjgir Champa, 219 in Baloda Bazar, 197 in Jashpur, 164 in Bijapur, 99 in Korba, 195 in Kabirdham, 182 in Mahasamund, 179 in Bemetra, 175 in Dhamtari, 169 in Korea, 154 in Kondagaon, 160 in Kanker, Gorela Penda 152 in Marwahi, 153 in Mungeli, Narayanpur 48, 143 in Gariaband, 320 in Bastar, 118 in Dantewada, 129 in Surajpur, 89 health workers in Balrampur were given corona vaccine.
It is noteworthy that a second dose will have to be taken within 28 days of the first dose of the vaccine. A protective level of antibodies usually develops within two weeks of taking a second dose. Even after applying the vaccine, it would be necessary to behave in a cavid manner, thereby reducing the risk of corona.
