Raipur, 13 April 2021. Those who have been vaccinated with the corona vaccine are largely safe in the second round of Kovid-19 infection. Among corona-infected people, the number of people who have received the first or both rounds of corona vaccine is negligible. Corona vaccination is being done rapidly in Raigad district. As per eligibility, 94 percent ie 2,86,531 people have been vaccinated in the first round and 8443 people in the second round. These things were said by senior officials and expert doctors of District Administration Raigarh during the review meeting being taken through video conferencing regarding Corona epidemic management by Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources and Minister in-charge of Raigarh district.
In-charge Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey and Higher Education Minister Shri Umesh Patel today held a virtual meeting of public representatives, senior officials of Raigad district from their residence office in Raipur and reviewed the situation of corona epidemic management in Raigad district. He said that there will be no shortage of funds for prevention of corona infection, treatment and help for the needy. Funds will be made available to the district administration as per its requirement. He also took information from the Collector Shri Bhim Singh, Superintendent of Police Shri Santosh Singh about the lockdown preparations to be held in Raigad district from 14 April to 22 April. Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey said that during the lock-down, arrangements for ration etc. to the workers and the needy should be ensured. Collector Shri Bhim Singh informed that there will be a lockdown in the district from April 14 to April 22 for the control of corona. Necessary preparations have been made for this. Quarantine centers are being set up in panchayats to keep people and workers coming from outside in quarantine centers. Food, housing, drinking water etc. have been ensured there. The collector informed that adequate arrangements have been made for treatment of Kovid-19 in Raigad district. 100-bed in maternal-child hospital, Kovid Dedicated Hospital and Medical College Raigad has a 200-bed hospital. Currently 54 ICUs and 332 oxygen beds are in operation. Efforts are also being made to increase their number. 80 oxygen beds are being prepared. The 500-bed Kovid-Care Center at KIT Raigad will be ready in a day or two. He informed that a 50-bed Kovid-care center is operational at Mangal Bhawan in Sarangarh. A 50 bedded Kovid Center is being built at Lelunga’s MCH. Adequate arrangements have also been made for the treatment of corona patients in private hospitals located in Raigad. MLA Raigad Shri Prakash Nayak and Sarangarh MLA Smt North Ganpat Jangade, Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr Keshari also participated in the review meeting virtually.
