Instructions given to speed up paddy lifting work and provide facilities to farmers

School Education and Cooperative Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam today inspected the Chandora paddy procurement center in Pratappur development block of Surajpur district. He observed the arrangements made at the procurement center and gave instructions to speed up the paddy lifting work and provide facilities to the farmers.
Minister Dr. Tekam observed the quality of paddy and also checked the moisture content of paddy with a moisture meter. He instructed to take special care of the quality of paddy during the purchase of paddy. He also advised the farmers to bring clean and dried paddy. Dr. Tekam observed the staking work and gave instructions to do staking systematically. Dr. Tekam also got the paddy weighed in front of him and the weight was found correct. He directed to ensure availability of adequate cover caps keeping in view the weather. After discussing with the farmers, he inquired about the payment, the farmers said that there would be no problem in the payment.
Minister Dr. Tekam said that there will be an increase in the arrival of paddy in the paddy procurement centers in the coming times. Keeping this in mind, paddy procurement work should be done systematically in all the procurement centres. He instructed to install stencils with quality ink in Bardana. Instructions were given to keep the electricity system in the paddy procurement center in order and to keep the operation of CCTV cameras in order and to keep continuous monitoring. Observed the availability of gunny bags in the paddy procurement centre, how much the DEO was cut, token arrangement, the quantity of paddy procured so far and the total lifting, drinking water, meeting arrangements etc. for the farmers in the paddy procurement center and gave necessary instructions. During this, local representatives including Collector Ms. Iffat Ara, SDM Mrs. Deepika Netam, Minister’s representative Kumar Singh Dev, District CEO Mohammad Nizamuddin were present.
