Raipur, 22 July 2021. Chief Minister Bhapush Baghel has said that cooperatives are a powerful medium to bring change in the lives of farmers and villagers. It is an important part of our rural economy. He said that the State Government is laying emphasis on strengthening cooperatives. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel was virtual addressing the taking over ceremony of the Chairman of District Co-operative Central Bank, Maryadit Raipur from his residence office here today. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel congratulated and congratulated the newly appointed Chairman of District Co-operative Central Bank, Mr. Pankaj Sharma. On this occasion, Mr. Baghel also launched the ATM service of District Co-operative Central Bank.

Chief Minister Shri Baghel said that after the formation of our government in the state, continuous steps are being taken to remove the complexities of the cooperative sector. It is the intention of the state government that by facilitating cooperatives, maximum people of rural areas should be benefited. He said that the farmers did not face any kind of inconvenience in purchasing paddy on support price as a result of the efforts made to facilitate cooperatives in the state. Keeping in mind the convenience of the farmers, all the paddy procurement centers have been made societies, due to this, there was a lot of convenience in the procurement of paddy last year, farmers did not have to put long lines in any place. Payment in banks was also done easily and conveniently.

The Chief Minister said that Godhan Nyay Yojana has also been added to strengthen the cooperative sector. Under this scheme, vermi compost and super compost made by women self-help groups are being sold through cooperative societies. Similarly, the Rural Industrial Park being built in Gauthan, the people involved in collecting forest produce, the amount is being transacted through co-operative banks, due to which co-operative banks are getting an opportunity to expand their work in new areas.

Cooperative Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam, Forest Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar, Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shiv Kumar Daharia, Apex Bank President Mr. Baijnath Chandrakar, Chhattisgarh Khadi and Village Industries Board Chairman Mr. Rajendra Tiwari, Former Minister and MLA Mr. Satyanarayan Sharma also addressed the program and congratulated and congratulated the newly appointed president. Industries Minister Shri Kawasi Lakhma, Parliamentary Secretary Shri Vikas Upadhyay, many public representatives, Directors of District Co-operative Bank and a large number of farmers were present in the program.
