Distribution of subsidy of more than 14 crores continues to 7656 beneficiaries under electric vehicle policy

Transport Department: 10 percent subsidy on the value of the vehicle to promote electric vehicles in Chhattisgarh

Under the Electric Vehicle Policy 2022 in the state, the subsidy is being distributed continuously to the beneficiaries by the Transport Department. In this context, distribution of subsidy amounting to Rs 14 crore 29 lakh 95 thousand 150 is going on to 7 thousand 656 electric vehicle owners.
In this regard, Transport Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar said that every possible initiative is being taken to promote electric vehicles in Chhattisgarh as per the intention of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel. Under this, any person who buys an electric vehicle can get subsidy from the state government. For this, the vehicle seller dealer will have to give his account number and IFS code. 10 percent of the value of the vehicle, subject to a maximum of Rs 1.5 lakh, will be directly transferred by the Transport Department to the account of the electric vehicle buyer.
According to the information received from the Transport Commissioner Mr. Dipanshu Kabra, at present, distribution of subsidy amounting to more than Rs 14 crore 29 lakh 95 thousand is going on to 7 thousand 656 electric vehicle owners from different districts of the state. Before this, under the first phase, subsidy worth more than Rs 80 lakh has been distributed to 404 beneficiaries across the state in the month of December.
Similarly, Rs 01 crore 56 lakh to 888 beneficiaries under the second phase, Rs 2 crore 21 lakh to 1 thousand 652 beneficiaries under the third phase, Rs 98 lakh to 613 beneficiaries under the fourth phase, Rs 2 crore 50 lakh to 01 thousand 302 beneficiaries under the fifth phase. Rupees and under the sixth phase, subsidy of more than Rs 94 lakh has been distributed to 636 beneficiaries. Presently, under the seventh phase, distribution of subsidy amounting to Rs 5 crore 30 lakh 84 thousand 623 is going on to 2 thousand 161 beneficiaries.
It is worth noting that the subsidy given by the Transport Department in electric vehicles in Chhattisgarh has made it very convenient for vehicle owners to buy vehicles. As a result, the trend of people towards electric vehicles has started increasing rapidly. Along with this, the demand for buying electric vehicles has started increasing continuously, due to which the sales of electric vehicles are also increasing.
