Raipur, 03 November 2020. The construction of Ardan Dame has been recently completed by the Forest Department at a cost of about Rs 27 lakhs in the Kutru Buffer Forest Zone under Indravati Tiger Reserve of the state. It has been constructed under Chhattisgarh Compensatory Forest Plantation Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA) Annual Action Plan 2019-20. This Ardan Dame structure with a water harvesting capacity of about one hectare area will prove to be very useful for the convenience of fodder for wildlife. Also, the agricultural land under Ardan Dame will remain moist for a long time. Farmers around it can earn additional income from the fisheries business.
