Raipur, 18 December 2021. Chairman of Chhattisgarh Quantitative Data Commission, Shri C.L. Patel has given instructions to the officers to complete the survey of other backward classes and economically weaker persons in the population of the state within the stipulated time. The date of completion of the survey has been fixed by the Commission by 15 January 2022. Instructions were given to this effect in a review meeting organized by the chairman of Chhattisgarh Quantitative Data Commission on December 17 with the officials of rural and urban areas and officials of CHIPS.
The work of survey of Other Backward Classes and Economically Weaker Persons in the state’s population has been started from 1st September 2021, in which the last date was fixed till 12th October 2021 according to the first time bound schedule, but after reviewing the works by the commission, the survey work. Due to non-completion, the date was extended for the first time till 30 October 2021 and for the second time till 30 November 2021. Due to non-completion of work due to various reasons, this date has been again extended till 15 January 2022.
According to the information received from the secretary of the commission, in rural areas, 18 grams in Balodabazar, 77 grams in Gariaband, 34 grams in Mahasamund, 117 grams in Balod, 8 grams in Bastar, 166 grams in Bilaspur, 267 in Surajpur, 19 grams in Balrampur, Survey work is incomplete in 50 grams in Gaurla-Pendra-Marwahi, 431 grams in Kabirdham, 100 grams in Durg, 113 grams in Korba, 222 grams in Jajgir-Champa, 199 grams in Raigarh, 69 grams in Surguja. . The Chairman of the Commission instructed the officers present in the meeting to complete the survey work in any case within the prescribed period.
Similarly, the average progress of all the bodies under urban body areas is Durg district 56%, Korea district 59%, Bastar 65%, Dantewada 68%, Korwa 79%, in the remaining 11 districts the progress has been made from 80% to 95 percent. Especially in large areas like Milai Charoda Municipal Corporation 28%, Durg Municipal Corporation 28%, Milai Municipal Corporation 12%, Korba 57%, Bilaspur Municipal Corporation 73%, Raigarh Municipal Corporation 71%, Chirmiri Municipal Corporation 24 percent, Jagdalpur up to 39% progress has been made. Similarly, 27% progress has been made in Dhamdha, Pathalgaon 58%, Keshkal 55%, Kirandul 50%, Geedam 56 percent, Sakti up to 70% progress in municipal areas. Therefore, satisfactory progress has not been made in urban body areas as well. In this regard, the state nodal officers of urban areas and rural areas have been directed by the commission to complete the survey by the prescribed period.
