Training given to departmental nodal officers

‘Complaint Monitoring System’ software has been prepared by the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer to ensure prompt resolution of election related complaints received through various means during the Lok Sabha General Election-2024.

As per the guidelines of Chief Electoral Officer Mrs. Reena Babasaheb Kangale, Additional Chief Electoral Officer Mr. Nileshkumar Mahadev Kshirsagar and Joint Chief Electoral Officer Mr. P.S. Dhruv organized training today and gave detailed information to the departmental nodal officers regarding quick redressal of complaints. IT department officials provided training to nodal officers regarding effective redressal of election related complaints through ‘Complaint Monitoring Software’.

In the meeting, Mr. Asim Thwait from NIC informed that ‘Complaint Monitoring System’ (CMS) has been prepared by the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer for quick redressal of election related complaints. Through this system, quick redressal is ensured by sending digitized complaints to the nodal officer of the concerned department.

During the training, departmental nodal officers were told that complaints received manually through various means during elections will be digitized. Apart from this, the complaints received through C-Vigil or social media will also be printed, digitized and sent to the nodal officers of the concerned department for quick resolution of the complaints. The nodal officers will promptly resolve the complaints related to their respective departments within the prescribed time limit and will immediately give this information to the office of the Chief Electoral Officer. In the training, officers were instructed to ensure resolution of election related complaints on priority. During the training, nodal officers from various departments including senior officers of the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer were present.
