Chief Minister announces opening of pucca road, pond beautification, nationalized bank in Sihawa soon
Government high school city will be named in memory of martyr Abhishek Golcha of Jheram Valley
Raipur, 27 February 2021. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel reached Karneshwar Dham in the lap of Sihawa mountain in the town of Vananchal in Dhamtari district today. This is the first time that a Chief Minister of the state reached the fair organized here on the occasion of Maghi Punni. In the eleventh century, he worshiped in the Shiva temple built by Somvanshi King Karnaraj and visited other temples and prayed for the progress and prosperity of the people. On this occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated the newly constructed main gate by Karneshwar Mahadev Trust. On this occasion, in his address, he instructed the collector to give community forest rights letter to the gram panchayat in view of the lack of site for the Saprishi’s taphbhoomi and the Karneshwar Mela near the point of origin of Mahanadi, the lifeline of the state. He expressed happiness by reaching this area related to the events of Mahabharata and Ramayana.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister Mr. Baghel, while approving the construction of 800 meter paved road in Deurpara, also announced to start a nationalized bank in Sihawa region soon, and to provide one million rupees for pond beautification work. Apart from this, he announced the naming of the government high school in the city in memory of the martyr Shri Abhishek Golcha of Jheram Valley. He said that tourism will also be developed in Sihawa region under Ram Van Gaman Path.
On this occasion, the Minister of Commercial Taxes (Excise) and Industries and the Minister in-charge of the district, Mr. Kavasi Lakhma, in his brief address appreciated the development works being done in the state under the leadership of the Chief Minister of the state Mr. Bhupesh Baghel. Sihawa MLA and Dr. Lakshmi Dhruv, Vice President of Central Region Tribal Development Authority and ex-officio Patron of Karneshwar Mahadev Temple Trust, thanked the Chief Minister on behalf of the people of the area. He also gave information about the scheme being run for the common man, farmers, youth and women and the work of the state government committed for their development in the last two years. On this occasion, Chairman of Karneshwar Mahadev Temple Trust, Shri Vikal Gupta, while reading the greeting letter, placed various demands before the Chief Minister.
On the occasion of the fair festival of Karneshwar Dham, Chairman of Civil Supplies Corporation Mr. Ram Gopal Agrawal, District Panchayat President Mrs. Kanti Sonwani, Mayor Municipal Corporation Dhamtari Mr. Vijay Dewangan, former MLA Dhamtari Mr. Harshad Mehta, former MLA Sihawa Mrs. Ambika Mercam, Mr. Ashok Som Sharad Lohana other people’s representatives, members of the trust and villagers were present. It is to be known that the Punni fair has been held in the month of Magha for many years in Karneshwar Dham, near Sihawa mountain and Shringarishi’s taphbhoomi, the place of origin of Mahanadi, the living life of Chhattisgarh. Where devotees who come from far and wide take a dip in the holy confluence of Balaka and Mahanadi and offer prayers in the temples. In this holy place of worship, there are temples of Lord Shiva, Ganesh, Vishnu, Vishwakarma besides Maryada Purushottam Ram and Janaki.
