Raipur: Committed to simplifying the process of services related to general public and expansion of public facilities: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel

Raipur, 17 August 2021. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has said that the state government is committed to simplify and improve the process of services related to the general public from the point of view of public convenience. The Chief Minister was addressing the inauguration ceremony of the new Deputy Registrar Office in Sector 29, Nava Raipur through video conferencing from his residence office here today. With the start of registration office in Nava Raipur, people of total 41 villages will get the facility of registration work in 6 villages of Nava Raipur, 20 of Arang and 15 villages of Abhanpur block. Now he had to come to Raipur, 40 km away for registration. With the opening of this office at Nava Raipur, their time and labor will be saved.
Chief Minister Shri Baghel also launched the scanning and digitization work of backlog documents and digital e-stamp facility of the Registration Department in the program. He discussed with Smt. Rekha Kosle of village Parsada, who came to the Deputy Registrar’s office in Nava Raipur to register. Mrs. Kosale told the Chief Minister that she was buying land at Mandir Hasaud. His 962 square feet land has been registered in Mandir Hasaud. Documents of registration were handed over to Mrs. Kosale in the program. Revenue Minister Shri Jaisingh Agrawal joined the program from Korba. Parliamentary Secretary Commercial Tax (Registration) Shri Inder Shah Mandavi, Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Shri Subrata Sahu, Secretary Commercial Tax Shri Niranjan Das, Inspector General of Registration and Stamps Ms. Iffat Ara, Deputy Inspector General of Registration and Stamps Shri Sushil Khalko was present at the Chief Minister’s residence. Representatives of National e-Governance Service Limited and Bank of Baroda also joined the programme.
Chief Minister Shri Baghel said that in the last three and a half years, the State Government is taking continuous steps to improve the governance. The work of birth certificate, caste certificate, conversion, registration has become easier than before. Keeping in view the public convenience, it has been decided to establish 5 new districts and 72 new tehsils since the year 2018. We are making such schemes in which their benefits reach the doorsteps of the people. Many decisions like direct payment to the bank accounts of women of SHGs engaged in various works, home access to 22 services related to RTO including driving license have led to simplification of work. Records like Map, Khasra, B-1 are now available online.
The Chief Minister said that at present there are 98 registration offices in Chhattisgarh. By including this office of Nava Raipur, now 99 registration offices will be formed. These registration offices have an important role in the development of Chhattisgarh. In the year 2020-21, Chhattisgarh got revenue of Rs 1589 crore from the registration of documents. Out of this, revenue of Rs 545 crore was received from Raipur district alone. This is 34 percent of the total revenue received through the registration department.
Revenue Minister Shri Jaisingh Agrawal said that in the last two and a half years, the Registration Department has got more revenue than the target. He congratulated and congratulated the people of the area on the opening of new registration office in Nava Raipur. He said that 30 percent reduction in guide line rates for purchase and sale of land and exemption in registration fee has also been given. The people of the state are getting its benefit.
