WRS Preparations are being made for this year’s event also at Colony Ground. Under this, the construction of huge effigies of Ravana, Meghnath and Kumbhakarna has started. Apart from this, Arun Govil and Deepika Chikhaliya, who played the role of Lord Ram and Sita of the famous TV serial Ramayana, will also be involved in this event. The whole event is being given a grand look by the organizing committee with procession, attractive fireworks. There is a special enthusiasm for the Vijayadashami festival in Chhattisgarh, which is the birth place of Mata Kaushalya and as the maternal grandmother of Lord Shri Ram and Ram Van Gaman Path.
Collector Dr. Bhure today took stock of all the preparations related to this event in detail and gave directions to the officers. The officials of Dussehra Utsav Committee gave them detailed information about the preparations made so far. The Collector has directed the subordinate officers to ensure all preparations related to this dignified event and take special care of basic facilities like public convenience, public safety, transportation, drinking water, cleanliness. During this, MIC member of Municipal Corporation Mr. Nagabhushan Rao, councilor Mr. Amitesh Bhardwaj, former councilor Mr. Radheshyam Vibhar Organizing Committee officials Mr. Srinivas Rao, Mr. Lunka, Ajay Joshi, Chetan Chandel, Gautam Yadav, Suraj Patnaik, Manoj Thapa were also present.
