Chief Minister inaugurated the beautification and development work of Bade Tariya at a cost of 26 crores
Many facilities like musical fountain show, food stall, toy train, green walking tunnel, flower bed, arch and suspension bridge.

The people of Kumhari will get various facilities on the lines of Metro City. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel today inaugurated beautification and various development works of Bade Tariya at Kumhari in Durg district at a cost of 26 crores. He also inaugurated the Laser with Musical Fountain here. Bade Tariya is spread over an area of about 18 acres. Food stall, green walking tunnel, toy train, arch and suspension bridge have also been made in the premises of this stream. On this occasion, the Chief Minister gifted development works worth Rs 174 crore 45 lakh to the people of Kumhari urban area. These include inauguration of development works worth 45 crore 44 lakh 66 thousand and Bhoomi Pujan of works worth 129 crore.
Addressing the program on this occasion, the Chief Minister said that ponds are the focal point of our culture, as well as they have an important role in maintaining the ground water level. Improvement of ground water level is also done by the promotion of ponds and our government is continuously working in this direction. Continuous steps have been taken to improve the ground water level in cities and villages. He said that Bade Tariya is an example of our efforts. In Bade Tariya, toy train, spectacular swing, Chowpatty, Green Tunnel, musical, fountain laser show, Video projector and magnificent park is being seen. More than 70 years old Peepal tree brought from another place has been revived in Bade Tariya. There is a message in this effort that we have to save our nature and the heritage of our ancestors at all costs. This pond will become a center of healthy recreation for Kumhari Municipality and the people of the area adjacent to it. He told the people to preserve this pond and park, it is also our collective responsibility. On this occasion, Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahria, Forest Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar along with local public representatives and a large number of common citizens were present.
During this, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel visited Bade Talab and observed food stall, green walking tunnel, toy train, arch and suspension bridge etc. Also took a view of the beautiful view of Bade Tariya from the seating arena built here. Along with this, he enjoyed the musical fountain show with laser, in which the culture of Chhattisgarh was beautifully depicted. In this presentation, along with the culture of Chhattisgarh, along with the minerals and picturesque tourist places of Chhattisgarh, the development story presented by Kumhari Municipal Council in the last 4 and a half years was also depicted.
There are many new facilities in Bade Tariya Complex
Laser with Musical Fountain Show – Laser with Musical Fountain Show will be organized everyday at 7:30 pm to entertain the visitors coming to Bada Talab. Presentation of different themes will be seen in Laser with Musical Fountain. The time limit for this captivating program will be 13 minutes.
Green Walking Tunnel- Just a few steps from the entrance of Bade Taria, a green walking tunnel has been made for the morning walk of the people. There are colorful flowers and greenery on both sides of its path. The walking path is covered with grass which brings the pedestrians closer to nature.
Food Zone – Visitors will find the Food Zone on the left as they enter through the entrance of Badi Talab. In which many food stalls like China House, Happy Tea, Millet Cafe, Biryani Street and Chaat-Chowpati will be ready to delight the visitors with delicious dishes. Chow Mein, Hakka Noodles, Momos, Paneer, Chilli at China House and a wide variety of tea and coffee at Happy Tea Stall. Those seeking a fusion of taste and health will also find nutritious options packed with high protein and low calories through Millet Cafe.
Drain Fountain and Toy Train – A toy train will also run daily for 48 children from the point of view of children’s entertainment in the center of Bade Tariya. When the train will run on the track, the children will also see the view of the spray of the Drain Fountain from their place and will also enjoy the ride of the toy train. This drain fountain is about 10 feet below the ground level and spread over 500 meters, following the path of the toy train. This sight will prove to be very attractive for the children and other spectators present.
Time fixed for visitors – The opening and closing time of Bade Tariya for common citizens has been fixed from 5 pm to 10 pm. Along with this, entry fee, laser with musical fountain and toy train fee has been fixed at Rs 10 from the point of view of maintenance.
