Such was the enthusiasm among the children of these Naxal-affected districts that today they are moving towards their destination by reaching the pinnacle of success. The children of Naxal-affected district, who were never able to complete even high school properly, when they got the facilities of high quality institutions like Late Rajiv Gandhi Prayas Residential School in their area through the Government of Chhattisgarh, then they got many opportunities including engineering, medical etc. Passing difficult examinations, they have started making their place in the reputed educational institutions of the country including IITs. The success of these tribal children, who grew up in the forest area amidst poverty and deprivation, inspires other students, while their success is also increasing the pride of Chhattisgarh in the country.

When the head of the state Mr. Bhupesh Baghel met the students who had reached the pinnacle of success after studying in Prayas Vidyalaya, he was thrilled to hear their experiences. While honoring the meritorious students of Late Rajiv Gandhi Smriti Prayas residential schools, Mr. Baghel gave an ex-gratia amount of Rs. Mr. Tarun Kumar Paikra, studying in Electronics Engineering branch at IIT BHU, one of the prestigious institutes of the country, told that he belongs to a farming family. He had his early education in village Bamalaya in Surguja district. He has studied in Prayas Vidyalaya from class 9th. He told that in class 9th and 10th he qualified the national level examination National Talent Search Examination. This not only strengthened my basics, but also increased my confidence. Tarun told that he had cherished the dream of making a career in engineering field since childhood. So started preparing for IIT-JEE by taking Mathematics subject. Continuous guidance of teachers and competitive environment with classmates led to success in JEE Advanced exam. Jagriti Kanwar of Rajnandgaon district, studying in IIT Patna, shared her experience of success and told that if Prayas came to school, how would I stay away from the family, this was my thought, but I found a new and very big family in Prayas. Soon it was realized that there could not be a better environment for studies than this. Coming here, he devoted his entire attention to admission in ITI. He got this success due to the guidance and hard work of the teachers. He told that his early education was done in village Khapri Sirdar. But a new and very big family was found in the effort. Among other students who were honored, Kumari Lisha Netam, a student of Scheduled Tribes studying at IIT (BHU) Varanasi, told that her parents are both teachers, so there has been an atmosphere of learning in the house from the very beginning. Adequate facilities were not available in Kondagaon. Due to which he tried to study in Raipur and prepared for the entrance examination and his selection was done for the Girls Residential School, Gudhiyari. Prayas Vidyalaya has very good environment for studying. They have got this success with the guidance of the teachers here. Prayas Vidyalaya, Mr. Dhananjay Dhruv of Dhamtari district studying in Electrical Engineering branch at IIT Bhilai said that in this institution better preparation is done for All India Engineering and Medical entrance examinations. He told that his elder sister has also studied in this institution. Dhananjay also told that Prayas, teachers in the school through continuous path and healthy competition environment among classmates have contributed a lot to their success. Lulas Kumar of Rajnandgaon district, studying in Mathematics and Computing branch at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, told that from the very beginning his interest was towards mathematics and engineering studies. He studied up to class 8th only in Padguda village of Tehsil Chhuria. Due to his special interest in science, his selection was attempted in the school. He told that getting selected in Prayas school got very excited as there was no high school in the village and he had to study engineering. Getting selected in Prayas school proved to be an important turning point in his life. With the support of Prayas school teachers and classmates, he was selected in IIT. Prayas Vidyalaya is playing an important role for the talented students living in remote areas in making their dreams come true. He made efforts for better running of schools and facilities being provided to talented students.
Kumari Devika Uike, a student of Antagarh in Kanker district, told that she got 90 percent marks in the 12th board examination and is studying in NIT Raipur under the guidance of teachers. Similarly, Mr. Manish Kumar Raote, resident of village Pathratola of Daundi block of Balod district, has secured 94.2 percent marks in the 12th board examination. Presently he is studying in IIT BHU. Mr. Aditya Yadav, resident of village Podi of Lakhanpur block of Surguja district has secured 92 percent marks in the 12th examination and is currently studying in IIT BHU. Shri Praveen Kumar Chandravanshi, resident of village Katkona of Lakhanpur block of Surguja district, scored 91 in the 12th board examination. Got 2 percent marks. Presently he is studying in IIT BHU. Mr. Rudrapratap Devangan, a resident of village Mahud of Gundardehi block of Balod district, got 88.8 percent marks in the 12th board examination and is currently studying in IIT ISM Dhanbad.
