Raipur: Chief Minister writes letter to Prime Minister: requested to provide free covid-19 vaccine to Chhattisgarh on priority basis

Raipur, 2 December 2020. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has requested Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to allot the vaccine to the state of Chhattisgarh for free and on priority basis. He has said in the letter sent to the Prime Minister that Chhattisgarh is a tribal dominated state, so that it should be made available in the first phase of Kovid-19 free of cost. The Chief Minister has also thanked the Prime Minister for his continued support to the state of Chhattisgarh.

The Chief Minister has written in a letter to the Prime Minister that the Kovid-19 epidemic has created an unprecedented state of tension and fear within the country. It is our highest duty to ensure the peace and good health of every person of the country. As we all know, vaccination of Kovid-19 is very important for prevention of Corona virus related episodes and deaths due to it. The Union Health Ministry has indicated that the vaccine is likely to be available in the near future which is a major achievement for humanity.
The Chief Minister has also mentioned in his letter that Chhattisgarh is a tribal dominated state, so Kovid-19 vaccination should be provided free of cost including Chhattisgarh in the first phase itself. The state of Chhattisgarh is fully ready for the implementation of the Kovid-19 vaccination program. In addition to the state health workers for this vaccination, there are plans to include police force, revenue department, urban development department, rural panchayat department’s frontline workers and media personnel like corona warriors.
