Raipur, 28 August 2021. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has greeted and greeted the people of the state, sportspersons and sports lovers on National Sports Day on 29th August. Every year the birthday of hockey wizard Major Dhyan Chand is celebrated as Sports Day. Shri Baghel said that sports have great importance in life. Sports develop qualities like leadership, dedication, discipline in the personality, which help to be successful in every sphere of life.
The Chief Minister said that there is immense potential for the youth in the field of sports. The state government is making every effort to help the sports talents of Chhattisgarh. International level sports infrastructure has been created here including the formation of Sports Development Authority to promote sportspersons at national and international level. This will give the youth an opportunity to advance in the field of sports.
