Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel will release an amount of Rs. 2 crore 92 lakh online to the cattle rearing villagers, women’s groups associated with Gauthans and Gauthan committees in the amount transfer program of Godhan Nyay Yojana organized at his residence office at 12 noon on December 5. In which from November 15 to November 30, the payment of Rs. 2 crore 44 lakh in lieu of cow dung purchased from cattle rearing villagers, farmers, landless under Godhan Nyay Yojana in Gauthans of the state and Rs 48 lakh as dividend to Gauthan committees and women’s groups. Huh.
It is worth mentioning here that under the Godhan Nyay Yojana, cow dung is being purchased from the villagers at the rate of Rs. This scheme was started in the state on 20 July 2020 from Hareli festival. From 20 July 2020 to 15 November 2021, 55.77 lakh quintals of cow dung has been purchased. In lieu of this, Rs 111 crore 56 lakh has also been paid to the sellers of cow dung. Women Self Help Groups are preparing Vermi Compost, Super Compost, Super Compost Plus and other products on a large scale from cow dung in Gauthans.
So far, 9 lakh 32 thousand quintals of vermi compost and more than 4 lakh 12 thousand quintals of super compost manure have been manufactured by women’s groups in Gauthans, which can be supplied through societies to various departments of the government and farmers at a concessional rate. Used to be. Apart from manure from cow dung, women’s groups are earning profit by manufacturing and selling go-casts, lamps, incense sticks, idols and other materials. Apart from this, various income-oriented activities are being conducted by women groups in Gauthans, besides vegetable and mushroom production, poultry, goat, fish farming and animal husbandry, due to which women groups have received an income of Rs 48 crore 20 lakh so far. are done. 9321 women self-help groups are directly associated with Gauthans in the state, Whose membership number is about 67 thousand. Joining the Gauthans and Godhan Nyay Yojana has instilled a new self-confidence in women’s groups towards self-reliance. Electricity generation has been started from cow dung purchased in Gauthans. An MoU has been signed between Kumarappa National Paper Institute, Jaipur, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Industries, Government of India’s Khadi and Village Industries Board and Chhattisgarh Gau Seva Aayog for making natural paint from cow dung.
For the conservation and welfare of cow in the state, construction of Gauthans is being done at a rapid pace in the villages. There is better management of livestock care, treatment and free fodder and water in Gauthans. So far, approval has been given for construction of Gauthans in 10569 villages in the State, out of which 7777 Gauthans are built and operated. Out of which 2029 Gauthan has become self-supporting as of today. About 2 lakh rural, animal husbandry farmers are getting benefited from Godhan Nyay Yojana. Women make up 45 percent of those earning extra income by selling cow dung. 88 thousand 127 landless families are also getting benefited from this scheme.
