Raipur: Chief Minister will release Rs 13.62 crore online to cattle rearing villagers, self-help groups and Gauthans on March 31

Raipur, 29 March 2022. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel will release an amount of Rs.13 crore 62 lakh online to the livestock farmers, women’s groups associated with Gauthans and Gauthan committees under the money transfer program of Godhan Nyay Yojana at his residence office on March 31, in which from March 1 to March 28. Till date, Rs 3.78 crore has been paid in lieu of cow dung purchased from cattle rearing villagers, farmers, landless under Godhan Nyay Yojana and Rs 5.85 crore to Gauthan committees and Rs 3.99 crore to women groups.  
It is worth mentioning here that under the Godhan Nyay Yojana, cow dung is being purchased from the villagers at the rate of Rs. A payment of Rs 129.86 crore has also been made to villagers selling cow dung in lieu of 64.92 lakh quintals of cow dung purchased till February 28 in Gauthans. After payment of Rs 3.78 crore to cow dung vendors on March 31, this figure will increase to Rs 133.64 crore. So far, Rs 50.03 crore as dividend has been paid to Gauthan committees and Rs 32.67 crore to women self-help groups. After payment of Rs 5.85 crore to Gauthan Samiti and Rs 3.99 crore to self-help groups on March 31, this figure will increase to Rs 55.88 crore and Rs 36.66 crore respectively.
Vermicompost, Super Compost, Super Compost Plus and other products are being prepared on a large scale from cow dung purchased by women’s groups under Godhan Nyay Yojana in Gauthans. 12 lakh 45 thousand quintals of vermi compost and more than 4 lakh 77 thousand quintals of super compost and 17 thousand 368 quintals of super compost plus manure have been manufactured by women’s groups, which through the societies are provided to various departments of the government and farmers at a concessional rate. is being supplied. Apart from manure from cow dung, women’s groups are earning profit by manufacturing and selling go-casts, lamps, incense sticks, idols and other materials. Apart from this, vegetable and mushroom production, poultry, goat, fish farming and animal husbandry along with other income-oriented activities are being conducted by women groups in Gauthans. Due to which women groups have received an income of Rs.58 crore 44 lakh so far. There are 11,693 women self-help groups directly associated with Gauthans in the state, with a member strength of 78298. Electricity generation has been started in Gauthans by purchasing cow dung. MoU has been signed to make natural paint from cow dung.
For the conservation and welfare of cow in the state, construction of Gauthans is being done at a rapid pace in the villages. There is better management of livestock care, treatment and free fodder and water in Gauthans. So far, approval has been given for construction of Gauthans in 10,591 villages in the State, out of which 8366 Gauthans are built and operated. Out of which 3006 Gauthans have become self-supporting as of today. So far in self-supporting Gauthans, cow dung worth Rs.13 crore 18 lakh has been purchased from own amount. More than 2 lakh 11 thousand rural, livestock farmers are getting benefited from Godhan Nyay Yojana. Women make up 45 percent of those earning extra income by selling cow dung. More than one lakh 12 thousand landless families are getting benefited from this scheme.
