Raipur: Chief Minister will inaugurate construction works costing Rs 177 crore in Durg district on November 18 – Bhoomi Pujan

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel will inaugurate development and construction works costing Rs 177 crore and perform Bhoomi Pujan in Durg district on Thursday, 18 November. This program of inauguration and Bhumi Pujan will be held in Municipal Corporation of Bhilai, Bhilai-Charoda, Risali and Jamul Municipality area of ​​Durg district. Chief Minister will give a gift of Rs.104 crore to the Bhilai Municipal Corporation area for dedication and Bhoomi Pujan programs. In Bhilai-Charoda Corporation, the gift of construction works worth Rs 40 crore and in Risali Corporation, works worth Rs 27 crore will be inaugurated. In Jamul, works worth Rs 5 crore will be inaugurated and works worth Rs 1.91 crore will be worshipped. On this occasion, the Chief Minister will also distribute checks of grant money to the beneficiaries benefitted under various schemes of the government.
Checks worth Rs 30 lakh will be distributed to 25 self-help groups in Bhilai Corporation. The Labor Officer said that on this occasion, checks would also be distributed to the families of 143 workers. Similarly, material will be distributed to the beneficiaries by the Department of Women and Child Development. Apart from this, distribution of fish seeds and nets etc. will also be done.
Inauguration of Canal Road Construction and Beautification – The Chief Minister will also inaugurate the Canal Road constructed at a cost of Rs 28 crore on this occasion. Apart from this, works including infrastructure works and works done with the amount of Fourteenth Finance will also be inaugurated.
Bhoomipujan of Surdung Reservoir Remodeling- The Chief Minister will also perform Bhoomi Pujan of Surdung Reservoir’s top and canal’s remodeling and lining work. Due to damage, the capacity of the reservoir is not being fully utilized. On completion of the work, 100 hectare area will be irrigated. In this way, irrigation facilities will be expanded in an additional area of ​​about 62 hectares.
