Raipur, 17 June 2021. As the second wave of COVID-19 declined, development works in Chhattisgarh have picked up the pace. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel is inaugurating and doing bhumipujan of new development works in various districts through virtual programmes every day. Till date, Chief Minister has already unveiled development works worth more than 5 thousand 220 crore for 18 districts through nine virtual programmes. On June 18 tomorrow, Mr. Baghel will inaugurate and do bhumipujan of development works worth Rs 111 crore for Korba district and works worth Rs 122 crore 96 lakh for Janjgir-Champa district.
The series of Virtual Bhumipujan and Inaugruation Programs started from 08 June 2021. On the first day, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel inaugurated and performed Bumipujan of development works worth about Rs 400 crore in Balod district. On the same day, he gifted new works worth Rs 287 crore 87 lakh to Durg district. On June 09, development works worth Rs 270 crore were unveiled for Mahasamund district and works worth Rs 295 crore were presented to Balodabazar-Bhatapara district. Development works worth about Rs 225 crore have been unveiled for Kabeerdham district on June 10, development works worth Rs 358 crore for Gariaband district, development works worth Rs 556 crore were unveiled for Rajnandgaon district on June 11, development works worth Rs 271 crore 51 lakh were presented to Dhamtari district, and development works worth Rs 276 crore 12 lakh to Mungeli district on June 12, development works worth Rs 172 crore 65 lakh for Bemetara district, development works worth Rs 120 crore 09 lakh for Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district, development works worth Rs 561 crore 32 lakh for Raipur district were unveiled on June 13. Development works worth Rs 308 crore 31 lakh were unveiled for Raigarh district on June 14, development works worth Rs 283 crore 70 lakh for Jashpur district, development works worth Rs 247 crore 91 lakh for Sarguja district, development works worth Rs 76 crore 52 lakh for Balrampur-Ramanujganj district were unveiled on June 15, development works worth Rs 16 crore for Surajpur district and development works worth Rs 244 crore were inaugurated and bhoomi pujan of works worth Rs 216 crore was done for Koriya district on June 16. Meanwhile, development works worth Rs 50 crore have been inaugurated and launched for Sukma and Bijapur districts in an additional virtual program.
Other than inaugurating and doing bhumipujan of important works for the districts for last nine days, Chief Minister has been making several important announcements. Taking another step towards the commencement of air services in North Chhattisgarh, bhumipujan of renovation work for Ma Mahamaya Airport in Ambikapur has been done. In Koriya district, Mr. Baghel has inaugurated new industrial area in Manendragarh. Rs one crore has been sanctioned for pipeline extension under Jal Aavardhan Yojana of Balod. Mr. Baghel has sanctioned Rs.6 crore for construction of a pucca road with a bridge up to village Pahanda-Limahi-Raipur road in Balodabazar district, Rs.20 lakh for the construction of community building. Mr. Baghel has announced to open 50-bed Mother and Child Care Hospital at Saja. On the demand of villagers, Mr. Baghel has announced the approval of 30 bed-Hospital at Jagargunda. Likewise, Mr. Baghel announced the installation of siltation filtration structure and solar dual pump at the cost of Rs 5 crore to solve the problem of red water in 10 gram panchayats of Gangalur area of Bijapur district i.e. Gangalur, Burji, Gongla, Pusnar, Pedia, Todka, Gampur, Kaika, Reddy and Palnar. With the establishment of this plant, clean drinking water will be available to about 20 thousand people of 6 thousand families in this area.
