Raipur, 13 August 2021. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel will felicitate the renowned writer Mr. Satish Jaiswal with the 21st ‘Vasundhara Samman’ at a function to be organized at his residence office in Raipur on August 14. The function will be organized by the monthly magazine ‘Vasundhara’ to mark the 45th death anniversary of the humble Gramsevak late Shri Devi Prasad Choubey.
Culture Minister Amarjeet Bhagat will preside over this function to be organized in collaboration with Chhattisgarh Government and Shri Chaturbhuj Memorial Foundation. Renowned journalist and editor Mr. Himanshu Dwivedi will address the function as the keynote speaker.
Convener of Vasundhara Samman Mr. Vinod Mishra, Chairman of the organizing committee Mr. Arun Srivastava, Secretary Mr. Mumtaz informed that Mr. Pradeep Choubey, son of Late Devi Prasad Choubey and Agriculture and Water Resources Minister Mr. Ravindra Choubey will be present in the function as special guests.
Vasundhara Samman was launched in year 2001, and till date, this award has been conferred upon Mr. Ramesh Nayyar, Mr. Kumar Sahu, Mr. Shyamlal Chaturvedi, Mr. Basant Kumar Tiwari, Mr. Baban Prasad Mishra, Mr. Diwakar Muktibodh, Ms. Asha Shukla, Mr. Sharad Kothari, Mr. Girija Shankar, Mr. Himanshu Dwivedi, Mr. Vinod Shankar Shukla, Mr. Gyan Awasthi, Mr. Shyam Vetal, Mr. Abhay Kishore, Mr. Girish Pankaj, Mr. Sushil Trivedi, Mr. BKS Ray, Mr. Prakash Dubey, Mr. Tushar Kanti Bose, Mr. EV Murali.
In this function, the 58th issue of Vasundhara, the monthly magazine of Lokjagaran and the 109th issue of the monthly magazine of art, literature, culture, will also be launched. This edition of Vasundhara focuses on the representative stories of 11 story writers from Chhattisgarh.
